Most days, it was difficult to determine what they had actually accomplished. Although he expected $800 per day for 3 men working, he only had 2 men working on most days. The quality of some of the work was adequate, but in other cases it was terrible. For example, when tiling, they placed half pieces or broken pieces in the middle of the floor. They also didn't clean the grooves out between the tiles before grouting, so any matter of trash (nails, pieces of Sheetrock, etc) was grouted in. They didn't want to vent the bathroom fan outside, saying that venting into the rafters in the ceiling "would be fine". There were many other things that have resulted in me never recommending him, but the final straw would have to be him dumping his trailer full of trash from the remodel in my front yard because I asked him to fix the mistakes he made on the job. And telling him that I shouldn't have to pay for him to redo work he should have done right the first time. He refused to come pick up the trash (roughly 3 weeks worth), told me to go to hell, and hung up on me.
