Approximately $500.00 worth of building materials such as paint, wood, 2 sets of door knobs, a cabinet, a clothes hanging rack, and many hour of Labor provided by the homeowner (when the work crew didn't show up for work) was not subtracted from the bill).
Basically the contractor stated that he expected to be paid the estimated amount and would not reimburse the amount spent by the homeowners. We had been told by the contractor's father, who headed up our work crew, to keep an account of all we spent and that it would be either subtracted from the bill or reimbursed directly.
