The Grass Guys, LLC

1.  In 2015, the bad service began.  There are many examples, but the worst is that they just "forgot" to cut my lawn in the summer.  I called their office, I texted the technician, I left emails, I left voicemails and got no response.  At week 5 or 6 when my lawn had still not been cut, I found the owner and somehow got in touch with him directly.  He could not believe how bad my yard was and how it could have happened that no one responded to my numerous requests.  It must have taken him and his crew the better part of a day to cut my lawn.  They lost money because it took them forever.  And, the grass had grown over onto itself so the yard was damaged. 
2.  It is very difficult (impossible) to deal with the person in their office.  They "forget" to call you back and they know nothing of customer service skills.  You have to beg her to call you--numerous times. She is always about telling the customer how "they work" and not respond to any customer request--you beg them to take your money.
2.  Early Spring 2016, I tried to contact their office to resume my yard maintenance.  I left two voicemails with their office girl and as usual--she didn't get back with me.  After a week of voicemails, I sent an email to them.  She finally called me and stated:  "they have just been busy and she was so sorry that she "forgot" to call me".  Here's the best part:  They can't resume my lawn maintenance because they are too busy. They are glad to put me on a list but they have no idea when their guys will catch up or they will be able to hire additional help.  I asked if they could work just cutting my backyard and I could work with as they got more time.  No.  They have no idea when they could help me they are just too busy.  I get it--I am not an important customer for them.  My lawn is almost an acre so it is a fair size account.
I told her that I was one of their first customers in the my area and I had sent them  several referrals.  I had been a customer for several years.  I had turned down other companies this Spring to stay loyal to Grass Guys.  I asked why the Grass Guys could not have been proactive and let their good customers (like me) that they were not going to be able to service us so we could make other arrangements.  Oh no they couldn't do that.  We have to try over 3 times, beg them to return our calls to take our business.  This is how good, long-term loyal customers are treated at The Grass Guys.  It is an interesting business model and I wonder if the owner knows what is going on.  I could never recommend them.  My yard is on a busy street and my neighbors always ask me for a recommendation.  Sadly, I have to tell them to never contact this company.  They do not treat their customers like they are valued.

The Grass Guys maintain my lawn on a 12 to 14 day cycle, depending upon how fast it is growing.  They usually have two to three workers on each team who make quick work of cutting and edging.  They also do a good job of cleaning up the clippings and leaving the area neat and clean.

They have done excellent yard services for me and I will use them for many years to come. Great company.

I had pretty good experiences with The Grass Guys, LLC, except for the last time they mowed my yard, I happened to be at home. I guess they didn't realize I was at home. They came and weed-eated around my driveway and mailbox and never mowed my yard. They drove away, and I ended up calling the company to complain about it, because they left me a bill that said they had mowed my yard. So they sent them back out the next day and they mowed my yard. It wasn't the owners doing the work, but they were nice and apologized and were happy to rectify it very quickly. I've been home other times that they've came, and I think this one was just a fluke, with the particular guys that had come out that day. I haven't had any other issues with them. I live in a townhouse, though and have a small yard. It's kind of expensive, for what they do. It doesn't take them more than 15, 20 minutes to do it. The thing I love about them is that you can online, with your debit card. You don't have to worry about leaving them money or a check. I've never had that before, with lawn care services.

I've used them for several years and they're fantastic. I have 2 yards that I use them for and they charge me $40 for that. I have a house that I have a yard for and they charge me $50 for that. I don't know if they had gone up on the price since they started on Angie's List or if that was my original price. They're very reasonable. I've been using them for 3 years. They're very kind and personable. They're always on time. They do a great job. There's only one area that I felt they could improve on. They don't trim the bushes but they will if you request it and it's extra. People who come and do your yard and do you bushes are hired on that. So everything is extra on top of it. Everything is itemized. I guess I should have gotten the price ahead of time for that. I think they're wonderful and I would highly recommend them for anyone. If someone wants their bushes done, I think that they should make sure that it's included and that they should request that upfront . I don't know what they're doing now with their new client. They're fantastic to use and they're alaways there weekly or bi-weekly. They're easy to work with.

They are very reasonably priced compared to other companies I have looked into. The lawn always looks beautiful and they are very efficient. Everyone I have dealt with from The Grass Guys is always personable.
