You can't go wrong with Wehby heating and cooling. After being jerked around by my home warranty company(Choice - don't use) I was in a bind. I called two companies to get estimates for a new A/C and was told 8500 to 11000! I put a help me email out to my friends and John Wehby was highly recommended. I was given his number and called. He came to my house that afternoon and my new A/C was installed the next day. Mind you its 97 degrees out there and every company is swamped right now. Would recommend highly. Great service, super staff and not trying to rip you off. Will use again.

We had a small leak in a pipe in the wall of our powder room. They were able to detect this and repair it by going into the wall behind the powder room and thus saving our wallpaper and hardwood floors. |We have had several occasions to use WEHBY-O'Brien in the last 7 or 8 years both at our home as well as our sons' homes. Their employees are extremely nice and courteous and it has always been my experience that they are able to evaluate the situation promptly and resolve the issue in a timely manner. I never call anyone else.

Mike Wehby came out the same day I called, Friday, and gave me an estimate for replacing my HVAC unit. After I'd gotten 6 other estimates, I felt most comfortable with him and his work. I called that same Friday and he came out first thing Saturday morning, along with a crew, to install my new unit. It works great and the work done was excellent! I would highly recommend.

I needed a plumber to fix the leaking bathtub faucet, replace the water pressure reducing valve and replace the washing machine hoses. I called a plumber (rated highly on Angie's list) who promptly returned my call. After discussing the plumbing problems, due to the age of the house (1945), he suggested I call Wehby-O'Brien Plumbing and Heating and speak with Mr. O'Brien about the faucet. He said Mr. O'Brien was an expert on older plumbing fixtures. I appreciated the first plumber's time on the phone, honesty and recommendation. I checked out Wehby-O'Brien on Angie's List and found very good ratings. I called the company and spoke with a very nice lady who said she would have Mr. O'Brien call me. I called back a second time to leave another message for Mr. O'Brien. Once again, the lady I spoke with was most pleasant. Mr. O'Brien returned my call shortly thereafter, answered my questions, and we set up an appointment for his plumbers to come out. The day of the appointment, the lady called to tell me the plumbers were on their way. Two plumbers arrived within 15 minutes and started to work immediately. They were knowledgeable, polite, neat, explained things and finished the job in a reasonable time period. From start to finish, my experience with Wehby-O'Brien Plumbing and Heating was a pleasant one. I think the cost was reasonable and I would use them again for my plumbing needs.

There is no story -- they solved our problems.

He was a very nice and kind. I asked him questions and he was very generous with his information. I didn't feel like he was trying to gouge us. We felt they were very fair. They're a very well known company in Birmingham.

They are people we've repeatedly used for years and years. They do an excellent job. We have one toilet and so they had to come out several times and unplug it. It's the same folks that would come out. They are very prompt, they are reasonable and they do good work. They are nice to get alongwith.

They were very good. They put a lot of hours in and showed up on time. They were very polite we had a very good experience with them.

It went great, as usual. This is my third time using Wehby O'Brien, but my first since joining Angie's List. Prior experiences of replacing a water heater and correcting gas line problems went well also. Wehby-O'Brien has consistently been well under other estimates, the work has been well done, and promptly. Out-the-door prices have been consistent the estimates, or ever a bit under. This most recent job of plumbing my kitchen for a built-in dishwasher went without a hitch, for me anyway. This was a difficult job, because the house is a mid 20's bungalow in Southside, with all the quirks that go with older homes. Most places would have walked away from the job of going into a crawl space to do the work, and believe me, I would have done it myself if I could have fit into the space. In the narrowest spots, clearance was maybe 18 to 20 inches, and these were the areas where Mr. Wehby O'Brien had to do most of his work. The work included removing stubborn, antiquated iron piping, installing new copper, and moving some lines, as well as adding new ones. Because the kitchen did not allow for a typical installation of a dishwasher next to the kitchen sink, it was located some 8 feet a way in a closet. The closet is being renovated to allow for the dishwasher installation and for additional cabinet space. As a handyman, I farmed this job out, realizing I was out of my depth, and I was guestimating a cost of $1,000 or more given the difficulty of the job, and the poor conditions in which Mr. Wehby-O'Brien had to work. Usually my appraisels are on-target. This gentleman and firm get my A+ recommendation, and I will use them again soon when I gut and redo the master bathroom.

I have used them for 25 years and I have always been pleased with my experiences. They are fair and honest, and I think their prices are reasonable compared to other plumbing places.

We are going to have him put in a hot water tank. My unit is getting old. Old unit had a recall about eight years ago on it. They fixed something supposedly for it. My unit is about fifteen years old, and I want to replace it. He tells me not to replace it until it needs to be done. He's very nice, trusting. Not just someone trying to make a buck. I've never had to wait on him.

I chose Wehby-Obrien because they were recommended to me, and I think they did a wonderful job. I don't think that they are the cheapest around, but I would rather go with somebody I know will do a good job then just get somebody to do a cheap job. When they came out they were very nice and got the job done fast.

Wehby-OBrien Plumbing did a good job on clearing our drains. The water now drains fast again. They had everything all cleaned up when they left. Wehby-OBrien is a good company that I have used many times. I am always happy with their service. I would highly recommend this company to others.

I was not at all impressed with the work done by or people from Wehby-Obrien Plumbing and Heating. They came to my home to fix a leak in my toilet but didn t bother to tell me what the problem was or how they were going to fix it. To top it all off whatever it was they did it did not resolve the issue and we had to call another plumber out to fix the toilet properly. The only good thing I can say about Wehby-Obrien Plumbing and Heating was they showed up on time. I will not use Wehby-Obrien Plumbing and Heating in the future.

We have used this company for over 20 years and they were a very reliable company. When you called and needed them they were always there in a day or less depending on the problem. They did excellent work installing this unit and they hauled the old unit away as part of the total package. They cleaned up all excess things before they left.

They were the most reputable company I knew. I have used them for years and would recommend them to anyone. I couldn t remember what it cost to do that work under my home, but they did a good job of it. In fact they have done a good job on all of the work they have done for me. They were very professional.

I have been using this company for about 35 years now and I have been very pleased with the service they have provided me with. They have been very reliable and they sent someone out anytime, I called them. They did good work and didn t leave any messes for me to clean up. I have used them for several different problems and they have always done well. I couldn t recall the price they charged me.
