Since they just recently took over the lawn care company I used for many years, I guess it's okay. My grass looks good. It's hard to grade them because I never see them. They don't come to the door or anything. They are good about staying in touch and letting me know when they are going to be here. I never see anybody, but they are good about notifying me when they are going to be here. Their prices are about the same as the company they took over. I haven't compared their price with other companies. I can just compare them with the prices of the previous company; either they went out of business or sold to TruGreen. I don't really know what happened. My yard doesn't look any better or any worse. It just looks okay. I haven't had to call them, they are always in touch with me.

My grass looks so much better and is growing so much better. They are very nice. They take their time to talk to me about what is going on.

I would like it to be a little more scheduled. It seems like they don't really notify me other than just a day or two ahead of time. I'd like to know a little bit more throughout the year how they schedule it out.

I signed up for services and after the first treatment had large symmetrical stripes across my yard.  Initial explanation was that the lawn would look worse before it looked better.  The stripes didn't go away and eventually filled with weeds, in fact, my weeds never went away through the course of service.  I tried repeatedly to contact management without success, however, the manager did call me and scheduled appointment to come see the lawn for around 8-9am.  I rearranged work schedule to meet and he did not show, instead coming in the afternoon when he knew I would not be there.  Response was admission of stripes in yard but unsure if their services were actually responsible.  He may be right but I had never had this problem before they came.  It could be coincidental.  I'm leaving out the amount of attempts it took to contact the manager.  He is a nice guy and always says the right thing but follow up is terrible.  Jaime at Trugreen called me to follow up on conditions of my yard and I explained to him what was happening; he isn't the manager but obviously knows what he's talking about and was able to secure free seeding and additional aeration (manager had initially set this up but due to poor follow up with other items I addressed again.) I was with them for a year partly because of my procrastination of getting the service actually cancelled and waiting to get free seed.  When you call the local number you will get redirected to the national line and they can page the manager if you'd like to talk.  Good luck with that.  There are multiple yard services on my street and it got to be a running joke about how bad my yard looked.  I can take it, it was definitely funny but lesson learned.

I have a contract with TruGreen.  They were here last spring.  I had a lightning storm that knocked out everything at my house.  I was pretty disappointed in the cost.  The company communicated by email and text, I thought it was a pretty good company but like I said I hated to spend that much money.  If I couldn't fix it myself, yes, I would probably use them in the future.

Buyers beware!  I contracted Trugreen to treat my lawn in the summer of 2014.  They showed up the first time, no problems.  Next scheduled visit, they did not show up, but billed me anyway.  I called and they came out the next day.  Next scheduled visit, same thing happened again except they billed me again when they came out.  In October 2014, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Trugreen credited my account and I canceled the service in writing.  Then in December 2014, I received a bill for $82.00 again for services NOT performed.  I returned the invoice explaining this to them and now I am receiving collection notices from a collection agency.  You will regret doing business with these scammers.

I've used them for several years.  The staff are just okay.  I had an incident with them last year and I thought about going to somebody else but I didn't.  They did a pretty fair job on my yard.  They kept it in pretty good shape.

I used TruGreen for over 8 months through 3 seasons and noticed no difference in my lawn or shrubs. I called back several times for follow up treatments because a few of my shrubs had spots on the leaves and the treatment didn't address the problem. The services are very expensive and they could never get the automatic payments to be applied correctly.

Less than 30 days from prior treatment of lawn. Service is too expensive.

They are satisfactory. They gave us notice before they come. They show up on time. They provide information about they've done and why they've done it and just very prompt and thorough.

About two weeks ago I walked outside and noticed Tru Green signs in my yard and a door hanger on our front door saying they'd been there. Only problem is, we don't use Tru Green. Our neighbors do. They sprayed the wrong yard. Our lawn care company (Turf Masters Lawn Care) came out the same day to evaluate the yard and see what was sprayed so they can come up with a plan of action for the rest of our treatments. On the door hanger, the Tru Green tech had written that the customer was unavailable (which wasn't true, they never knocked, my husband and I were both home). It also said that ALL AREAS were treated, which is untrue. My neighbor pays for full yard service. We have two dogs in the backyard, so I know for a fact that they didn't spray our backyard at all. My neighbors called Tru Green to cancel immediately. They were already planning on switching to Turf Masters because our yard looks so great. Tru Green begged and pleaded with them to give them one more chance, so they did.
Tru Green came out the very next week to give my neighbors yard the treatment they missed, and they sprayed OUR yard AGAIN!!! For the second time in a week span, they sprayed our yard. I walked out to deja vu, with signs in the yard and a door hanger. Again, my company came out to assess the damage and I called Tru Green. They didn't really seem to care, just said, and quot;Oh, I'm sorry.and quot; When I brought up the fact that my money has been wasted on our own lawn company because our treatment plan has been messed up, the guy said, and quot;Well, look at it as two free treatments.and quot; Yeah, two free treatments that were a week apart and burned our grass!! The tech on the receipt was the very same tech that sprayed the wrong yard the first time! Again he wrote that the customer was unavailable (which again wasn't true because we were both home) and that he sprayed all areas (which wasn't true because we had the dogs in the backyard). I would NEVER recommend Tru Green. Sure, their customer service reps are nice. They have to be, because their workers screw up so much!!!

Scotts was hired to provide some basic lawn treatment services, specifically with fertilization.  I hired them about a year ago to provide these services and "turn my yard around."  They performed liquid irrigation in addition to treatment.  My yard did in fact show tremendous progress and was starting to look pretty good going into the Fall.
Fast forward to this past Spring.  My yard was not "waking up" and I had lots of patches of dead grass in my front yard and dirt in my backyard.  My backyard was looking worse and worse with each passing week.  I called Scotts and told them of the situation.  They said they would a tech out, free of charge, and they did.  They said due to a late winter, my grass needed more Nitrogen to "wake up."  They put this out on the yard in addition to normal fertilizer treatment.  My yard continued in a rapid state of decay with each passing month and I began to get apprehensive.
Currently, my yard looks absolutely terrible.  I have dirt patches and dead grass that was not present over a year ago pre-treatment.  I expected that over a year an a half of treatment, my yard would look better and not worse.  I then cancelled service with Scotts.
I thought something seemed amiss and called some other services to get their analysis on my lawn.  They believed that the front and back yards were treated with the same fertilizer treatment, which is very bad since it is two different types of grasses.  They also thought that my lawn possibly had too much nitrogen, which was reflective of a lot of the present damage.
Opinion:
I thought Scotts was very professional over the phone and very responsive on my questions.  They were polite and courteous.  I don't think the techs give a very personalized treatment of my lawn.  I think they sprayed the general treatment all over, without consideration of the grass or the current state of the grass.  I don't know what they did in my back yard as it has more weeds and dirt than grass at this point.
My opinion is that the techs were going through the motions, but never looked at my yard and said "Why does this look worse each time I visit?  Maybe I should do something differently."  I think if they would have reacted with different / correct treatments then my yard would not be in its current, detrimental state.
I know some people have had good luck with Scotts and I originally contracted them based on the reviews here.  Unfortunately, they did not work out for me and I am moving to a different provider.  The opinions of the future providers is that it will take 2-3 years to recover from the damage currently in place, which I am not at all pleased with.

Sometimes, if I called them, they came in free of charge and fixed things. They had a high price. They increase price through the years.
