Looks like we will be paying someone else to rip out the shower and rebuild it. This person did not have any reviews on Angie's List, but he did have good reviews on Home Advisor. Regardless, avoid this person.
Description of Work
We needed a bathroom remodeled. Barnie agreed to paint the bathroom, install a marble and glass block shower, and install the shower floor. He started work around October. At first, he was really good and would work 8-9 hours at a time. Then, he started missing days because of family emergencies. He left the job half finished in January--the shower had been completely finished but nothing sealed. Before he disappeared, he assured us that the shower pan was good to go and he ran the water to demonstrate that there was no leaking. In the middle of January, he simply stopped showing up. Did not respond to texts, phone calls, or emails. We recently hired another individual to finish the shower and the rest of the master bathroom. Today, we ran the water in the shower for over 30 minutes while cleaning the shower and now have a ruined downstairs ceiling. Looks like a problem with the shower pan.
