The Mad Hatter

After getting quotes from 7 different companies, and researching the reviews online, I finally settled on The Mad Hatter Inc to do the duct cleaning in my house in Vestavia Hills. I liked the reviews I read, and felt that their price was very fair. This company has Duct Cleaning as its primary job whereas some of the other companies do mainly AC/ Heating work, but do the Duct Cleaning as a side (and they quoted exorbitant price). Two nice gentlemen from the Mad Hatter showed up promptly at my Front Door at 8:40AM on Sept 20th. They were very polite. First they looked through each room and the location of the vent, and the garage where the Central AC/Furnace is located. They did a thorough job in cleaning each of the air ducts (both vents and inlets). As they were about to leave, I learnt that they were brothers, and their names were Terry Hill and Lee Hill. It turned out that Terry Hill is the owner of the Mad Hatter Inc company ! I am very pleased with the job they did, and recommend The Mad Hatter Inc company for Duct Cleaning wholeheartedly.

On time, neat, professional and very skilled. I was impressed and would recommend them to anyone.

Prompt response from Jackie at the office. They were actually able to get here a week earlier than originally scheduled. The servicemen were right on time as scheduled, explained the service, no mess. A + service.

It went very well! They got to my house before me, and they were already working on putting the mesh on the chimney cap! Took them about 15-20 minutes to install the canopy for my fireplace. Very professional, courteous, and respectful of my time!

Jackie in front office was courteous and professional, called me day before appointment with reminder. The two gentlemen who performed the service were obviously experienced. They were thorough, fast and friendly, answered all our questions.

The two gentlemen arrived on time and did a very thorough job. They were honest, very polite and pointed out several things to me that were very helpful. There were no "extra" charges - the price was exactly what I had been given on the phone when I set up the appointment. I was very satisfied with their work.

He was efficient, on time, and courteous. He removed a lot of debris from our chimney and was finished within 30 minutes.

Arrived ahead of schedule.  Worked quickly and efficiently.  Slid fireplace insert back into position. 

Cleaned up work area.  Suggested a product to prevent glazing and creosote build up. 

We have used The Mad Hatter once before and were impressed.  The first visit was around 5 years ago.  They cleaned all the air duct vents in our 50+ year old house.  They also checked our gas logs and Chimney.  We ordered special reusable filters from them as well as a new chimney cap.  VERY pleased with the purchases and their service!  Since we have four indoor cats and an old home, we wanted to have the ducts cleaned again.  Called and they were able to come the very next week - even offered an earlier appointment when they had a cancellation.  Prompt, courteous, and efficient.  We have been able to tell a difference in the air quality both times they have come.  Many people wonder about the cost since there are those who advertise for much less money.  Beware and read the reviews and find print on coupons, etc.  What they don't tell you is that they use different equipment (not as effective) and then offer you the BETTER cleaning for more money OR they start adding on costs for "extras" that should be included in the cost to begin with!  I can't explain the difference in the equipment but if you call Mad Hatter, I'm sure they will explain it to you.  We will use them again without reservation!

The crew worked hard straight through. They were friendly and their work was clean, efficient and professionally done. These were two very nice fellows. They even played a little bit with our female Pembroke Welsh Corgi "Sugar".
