Standard Air, Plumbing & Insulation

*****Standard Heating, Cooling and Plumbing does NOT know how to program a thermostat. I purchased a new air conditioning unit from this company and within 30 days it broke. They came out to fix it and apparently "fixed" the issue, but 2 days later it broke again. The new story is they didn't program the thermostat correction. Please think twice before spending a huge amount of money on a new air conditioning system install with a company that doesn't even know how to program a thermostat.

Very badly. Could not schedule any date within one month of when first requested. When something came up on our end, the next available date was one more month in the future (that is, two months from when service was first requested). Can not recommend based on their ability to show up for routine service.

Service provider (I think his name was Danny) did an excellent job.

Ultimately, because of cost we went with another quality provider. If the difference in cost had been not significant, we would not have hesitated to use Standard Heating & Air Conditioning and were willing to pay more. We have used Standard for other work and we were quite happy with the results.

The work was done quickly, expeditiously, and carefully by Mr. Curtis Webb and Mr. Brandon Gilliland. The new water pressure regulator is much quieter, hot water is now available within 15 seconds throughout our home, and the faucet at the rear of the house works perfectly. Standard added a shut-off valve inside the garage so that in freezing weather the faucet could be isolated and drained, so that an insulating faucet cover is not needed. While the cost was not low, because Mr. Hale was very familiar with the Navien 240A water heater, he was able to suggest a solution that other less informed plumbers could not provide. Standard also rerouted the condensing water drain (from the high-efficiency gas water heater) to a point outside where the acidic water would not react with the our concrete driveway where the builder had originally placed it.

They were professional and direct, no additional sales pitch

The malfunctioning system had a refrigerant leak at a 90 degree connector on the outside unit which was super easy to diagnose and fix. Of course the whole system had to be evacuated and recovered at considerable expense thanks to the EPA. The system was recharged and everything worked perfectly. The inspection was done on both units and I thought all was well. Two days later the other system wouldn't even start up. When I called and explained that the unit had just passed their inspection, they sent someone right out. Turns out that a mouse had chewed on the connection to the starter capacitor. The tech said that he had removed the fried rodent on the inspection visit, but did not mention it to me. He didn't have an answer as to why he didn't catch the damage on the inspection visit. He fixed the connection at no charge. You may wonder why I would use them again. It is because I was fed up with my previous HVAC vendor and Standard seemed genuinely eager to please me and were prompt and on time. The techs they sent were barely over 20 years old, but seemed more knowledgeable than the older techs my former company sent. Until Standard breaches my confidence I will continue to use them.

They are very good. I really can't compare on price, but in dealing with other companies they are probably a B. I bought a contract with them for every 6 months of maintenance for the next 5 years.

It was all "A"s. It was a short visit. I would use them again in the future.

great. I was dreading the cost of replacement, but repairman was able to fix pump at a very reasonable price. Nice people as well.

Excellent!

We were very pleased with the people that came out. I would say the cost was between $250 & $300, but it might have been a little bit more than that, I really don?t remember. They were excellent, because we had another plumber out earlier who just could not figure out what the problem was. It was obviously a kind of perplexing one and we were offering a solution of what we thought it was. No one seem to think that was really possible. However, we followed through on it and that was exactly what had happened. 

They were great. They were very, very professional. They came out on time. I thought the cost was reasonable. I have lung issues and we had to express that to them because that was always one of our major concerns with a leak, is mold or mildew or anything of that sort. They actually cut two small holes in my closet after asking me permission to put a camera to make sure there wasn?t any mold or mildew anywhere. I just really felt they went above and beyond what they had to. I got their name off of Angie's List. 

We had an excellent experience. They were wonderful. We were very pleased with the people that came out. I thought the price was fair. They resolved our issue and very promptly. They were very responsive, I think we called one day and they were out the next.

They do quality work and got the job done when they said they would. The workers were good and professional.

The work was done fast, professionally, and the cleanup was thorough.

Standard is by far one of the most professional and efficient companies I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Their level of customer service is unparalleled and they are super nice on top of that. I do not recommend lightly, and am not easily impressed. But I could not give a higher recommendation than for standard.

It went very well -- the company's rep (Joey Thornton) made sure that every aspect of the installation was optimized for my home, for my HOA rules about external vents, and achieved the results I needed. The installers have excellent attitudes and are very helpful. They returned twice at my request to change flex placement and then to add additional flex to the extension required by the placement change. The company worked with the manufacturer of the system (Ultra-Aire) to be sure my goals were met for indoor air quality.

They were nice to speak with over the phone. They said the plumbing estimate would be $79.
