You Sign Paypa! First, let me say that this was the WORST experience I have EVER had hands down. If your contractor says that this company will be your fabricator, REFUSE and tell them to go somewhere else! They may be cheaper, but if you have to pay for your kitchen granite TWICE… What was supposed to be an experience I have dreamed of for months, turned into a nightmare I am still dealing with and reminded of on a daily basis because it is there to remind me every morning when I walk into my kitchen. The lack of craftsmanship and pride in work is astounding to me. There are VISIBLE CRACKS in the piece that they refused to address. (YOU SIGN PAPYA!) When we chose the 2 pieces of granite, they were delivered to the shop. Not only did we provide the 2 pieces needed, but we sent 2 ADDITIONAL pieces for them to choose from to ensure that we had the perfect flow. We were grateful to the granite company for offering to send 4 pieces for Southern Stone to choose from, but they refused to even look at the 2 additional pieces sent and said that we had to pay for the pieces (which was not true). All she had to do was look over the pieces and choose the 2 best. Obviously, she didn’t. (YOU SIGN PAYPA!) Not only did she refuse to even look at the 2 additional slabs we sent over, she told my husband that in order to proceed, he had to sign a paper stating that the 2 pieces she chose were acceptable. My husband is NOT the contractor, nor is he a granite expert. However, being the wonderful and trusting husband that he is, he knew that in order for us to be back into our home before Christmas, we had to have a kitchen and he signed the vaguely worded, hand written note that she put in front of him saying that the slabs were acceptable. (YOU SIGN PAYPA!) When the slabs were installed, we excitedly rushed over to the house to see the long-anticipated kitchen and were in total shock at the state of the granite. There were so many problems that I don’t have enough room to write down or show EVERY SINGLE CRACK in the granite!!! (See picture attached) We met our contractor at Southern Stone. As soon as we arrived, she started repeating over and over “YOU SIGN PAYPA!” as if this somehow allowed them to install cracked granite in our entire kitchen! I wonder if they have tried this coercive tactic with other customers. The bottom line is that Southern Stone and Cabinet tried to take advantage of us. Not only did they outright lie about statements and promises made, they also tried to manipulate the situation and place blame on everyone but themselves for serious issues with their workmanship that compromised the structural integrity of the slabs. We offered numerous times to have the owners come and actually see the cracks in the slabs, but they never did. The slabs were unfinished, unpolished, cracked, chipped, and just disappointing! We are moving on to a new fabricator, so if your contractor says that they are using Southern Stone and Cabinet, REFUSE and RUN!!! I hope this review helps someone avoid the heartache we are still dealing with (2 weeks before Christmas), and whatever you do DON’T SIGN ANY PAYPA!

I absolutely love my piece of granite, and the customer service was very good...however, they measured the countertops wrong and I do not have the proper overhang of 1  1/2 inches.  They also added on a piece of granite on top of the counter to hide another gap. Not as professional looking as I would have wanted for the price.

The work was good, and the staff was good too. They left the area clean.

Worked with us to get a great price for the counter top and sink. We checked out several places and Southern Stone provides us with the best price by far. They showed up as promised and took great care and ensured that the new counter top and sink were properly installed. Once they got to installing the counter top and sink, they found that they had to make a few modifications to make sure that everything fit properly. They did not charge us extra. They cleaned up after themselves and we were very pleased with their results. Everything was completed in four hours. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the work and would highly recommend Southern Stone.

My kitchen looks like a magazine.  The granite is perfect!  They came out and measured all the countertops to make a pattern. Then we went to a warehouse to pick out the granite.  So many choices.  Then I picked out a backsplash to coordinate with it.  They had an Plumber come out after the granite was put in to hook up the faucet, stove top, and exhaust fan.  Then they had a tile guy come and do the backsplash.  After it was all completed they came out to seal it all and check all the work.  Truly, my kitchen looks amazing!  We are so happy with the job they did!

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered granite and the guy that came out did an estimate that was really accurate and he was friendly because when he brought the granite in, it really fitted perfectly. The installation crew went out of the way to be accommodating. The lowered the far heights counters for me and removed the electrical outlets and replaced the kitchen sink. The did an extremely good job.

They were really good. They are very professional and did what they said they would do.

They were great and had good prices. They were very professional. They were 3 people that came out to measure the area and gave me a good quote. They came out when they said they would and got it done on time. It was an easy experience.

Good job, finished earlier in the day than expected. They were able to resolve an uneven situation in the existing cabinets to improved the fit. They also sealed them afterward, which I had been told would be our responsibility, so that was an extra!
