Air Duct Cleaning
They did a great job. My daughter was living with me and she had a coupon. I didn't see any dust for a very long time. I see a little now but that's what you're gonna get with a very old furnace.

Garage Door Service, Appliance Repair - Small
Repair person spent the entire time blaming the issue on LG and claimed she could not find the problem. When I turned the water line back on, I pointed out the slow leak coming from the external water line. "Repair" was made by cutting out the portion with the pin hole and splicing the line back together. The splice was not secure and the line split, flooding our kitchen hard wood floors and ruining the floor in ~ 3 x 10 foot area (buckled and cracked). When I called Sears, they again blamed LG and told me I "had" to contact the manufacturer to place a claim. Needless to say, we still have ruined floors and no working water or ice maker in the refrigerator which was less than 3 years old at the time.
I will never, ever again purchase an appliance from Sears (regardless of cost) nor request in-home service. It was so bad that I expected a Candid Camera prank. Sadly, Sears appliance repair is just that bad.
I understand this review is dated, however, I just became an Angie's list member today and the experience is still appalling in my mind.

Appliance Repair - Small
Dispatched to repair my stainless steel microwave. The repairman corrected the problem, but in doing so bent up the casing of my microwave. The unit no longer hangs right and looks like crap. After several follow-ups, all they offer is a $50 payoff that does nothing to correct the situation.

Kitchen and Bath Remodeling
It was really high in my opinion. The estimate was $36000. They spent almost two to two and half hours here. They were very nice. They had samples and all the appropriate stuff. They did measurements, and they did the prototype. They have a remodeling program to show us what it looks like. I liked every bit of that; what I did not honestly like was pressure sales. They told me that if I took that offer the same day, I will get this many dollars off. I have a very tight budget and $36000 was $16000 more than I even taught about especially not including any appliances. They had good effort in everything, but I didn't like the sales pitch. The price was bad; it was really too high. I have gotten four or five estimates. They were $10000 to $20000 more than anybody else. When he showed up, he was one time. But there was an issue regarding scheduling the appointment. I scheduled the appointment over a week in advance. Then suddenly I got an email telling me that it was at a totally different time than what I scheduled it for. I called and canceled that because I said that I cannot do that. It was at the same time I had scheduled someone else. So I canceled and had to reschedule. They changed the time without telling me; that's what ticked me off. The second part that ticked me off was the fact that I was trying to schedule it in two or three days and it got scheduled a week or more. The initial schedule time was not good for me, but I did it to get it done. Then they changed the time for me, and that ticked me off. Even though when it was rescheduled, the guy was on time. My perception was that the guy was ticked off because I didn't take the deal. I have several of Sears appliances, and I haven't really had a problem with that. But as far as doing that work, I don't know that I would get them to do that.

The contractor diagnosed the problem with my washing machine. Then ordered the parts needed for the repair. We were left with a list of parts. As the parts were delivered by UPS, we were able to check them off the list. On the day before his scheduled return for the actual repair, the contractor called to confirm that all parts had arrived. He came as promised and completed the work in a very timely manner. He was very professional.

Garage Door Service
They were easy to work with, had the best prices and did a good job installing the appliances. They were also prompt to send a service technician back to our house when we thought something was wrong with the gas rangetop. It turned out the problem was user error :) and they did not charge us for the technician coming to the house.

The service was a mess. During the estimate, I showed them a picture of what I wanted to have done to my bathroom, and they guaranteed me that they would be able to execute the project to my desired satisfaction. As they executed the service, they informed me that my choices were far more limited than what was actually promised during the quote. They lead me to believe that I would have access to their entire range of products and services, only for one to find out otherwise during the actual construction. They installed a cabinet further from the wall than what I originally had, which causes it to stick out in front of my window casing creating an inconvenience when using the bathroom. They left a piece of tile off from wall and damaged my cast iron tub by neglecting to put plastic down to prevent it from being damage by chemicals and debris; which have led to rust spots in my tub, permanently damaging it. They cut my choices of flooring down as well as provided me with a mirrored medicine cabinet, which they measured in error and exclaimed it was a far exorbitant price than what it originally should have been. They credited me back the different in response to the error but that did little to make up for the disaster that was the end result of my bathroom for the price charged to me. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Appliance Sale
Norman Harless did a nice job of showing us the current kitchen appliances on the market and explaining the warranties and the return policies. They had a pretty good selection of appliances in their showroom. He gave us the builder's discount, but we would have liked to have seen a better discount since this was new home construction. The appliances were delivered in good condition except for the dishwasher which had the wrong size upper shelf and we were not pleased with the appliance overall and so decided to return it for a better model. Then we discovered the brand and model we wanted came with a stainless steel washer arm that Norman had originally said was aluminum which we're trying to avoid. It took a while to exchange the dishwasher that was installed for the one that we originally wanted which entailed many phone calls to the national Sears headquarters, but they finally came through for us and exchanged the dishwasher with only charging about a twenty to thirty dollar difference (wished they would have waived this also). The new dishwasher works fine as do all of the other appliances. We do not like the push for the three year service agreement.

Everyone from the receptionist to the owner provided excellent service. Sally took superb care remotely remotelyof me. I have anxiety about people coming in to my home to work but I do not with sears. I trust them and I know who is coming to mydoor. Postive feedback on their warrenty program and their employees. All the employees are specialized to work on specific appliances. The bad thing about Sears is that you have to pay the entire amount upfront. They send excellent people out who are on time. They call 30 minutes before they come. I have had the best expierence with them! They do not charge on-site fees. they also do a home inspection and check every applicance under warrenty-- they cleaned out the lent from my lent traps on my dryer and i was

I use them always. I like their punctuality professionalism and the fact that they got my carpets cleaned. I have off white carpets around the house and they can get pretty ugly. They looked almost new when they got through. They cleaned my sofa and couch upholstery.

There is a tax credit that we get if we use insulated garage doors. It also helps with our energy costs. It is worth doing. They came out and did the installation for us. They gave us a number and we had to call a certain number and schedule. They did a great job. We are pleased with them.

Auto Tires, Auto Service
They did a terrible job, and I've had a lot of problems with this car because of their bad work. The tires weren't balanced and the car was very uncomfortable. They didn't respond, and they didn't care and they lied. I've had other auto work done to this car by them, and none of the work they did was satisfactory.
