We are a family owned and operated Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai and Subaru repair facility with 24 month or 24,000 mile warranty on most items. ABOUT US.....As childhood friends, Eddie Cleveland and Angelo Roberson shared a passion for figuring out how things worked; specifically motorcycles and cars. More to the point, they spent a lot of time figuring out why something didn’t work. Like most passions, it was only a matter of time before it became a profession. In 1983, Eddie and Angelo formed Rob’e Mans, working as mechanics servicing only Honda vehicles. When Honda introduced the upscale Acura line, they started servicing the Acura line. As time passed on, health concerns drove Angelo to retire. Eddie continued to run the ever-growing business, concentrating on maintaining the kind of personal and professional service that has earned Rob’e Mans a stellar reputation. In 2006, after numerous customer requests, Rob’e Mans decided to extend their services to include Toyota and Lexus, purchasing the building next door to their existing facility to accommodate the newly added lines. In 2012, again by popular demand and multiple customer requests, Rob’e Mans extended its professional service to include the Nissan and Infiniti brands. In 2013, after unprecedented growth, Rob’e Mans decided to extend their service and repair lineup to include Hyundai and Subaru. Today, Eddie Cleveland and the staff at Rob’e Mans continues to provide the kind of customer-focused service that started back in 1983, earning and keeping the trust of his customers by providing quality services with a personal touch.

I do want to add a little bit of info to the story though. You are correct in that it took a little longer to look at your vehicle, but we did call you earlier than 4:30 to tell you that we verified the brakes needed to be replaced and that we could take care of it by end of business. I called you personally, but kept getting "pinged" and hung up on by your service provider. I have never experienced that before, so I was kind of at a lost on how to contact you. After I received the review of your most recent visit with us, I tried calling you personally and left you a message to try and make it right, but have not heard back from you. At the recommendation of a family member, I've taken our 2005 Honda to Rob'e Mans since moving to the Birmingham area one and one-half years ago.
I am impressed by the following:
+ in my experience, repairs have been correctly addressed on each visit, and so I've never had to return to the shop for a re-do;
+ the desk staff is knowledgable and professional and appears to have a long collective memory for work that was done on customers' cars;
+ no one tries to talk me into unnecessary repairs;
+ scheduling of work is well-timed: job is begun and completed as promised.
In addition to repairs, Rob'e Mans performs the regular oil and filter changes on my Honda. The shop offers a fairly good rate for this service: the first three changes are full price, but the fourth change is free. Thus the cost averages out to a little more than what I've paid at chain shops where oil/filter changes are the bread-and-butter procedures. But an additional difference between Rob'e Mans and the chains is that the RM staff doesn't try to pressure me into buying add-on fluid changes or repairs. Every RM oil and filter change includes, at no additional charge, a multi-point inspection that encompasses brakes, belts and hoses, battery and charging system, exhaust system, and a check of all fluid levels (they are topped off at n/c if low). I've never been told, as a result of these inspections, that the Honda needed unexpected work.
I have given Rob'e Mans a "B" rating for price because I haven't compared its rates to other garages. I'm satisfied with the service I receive and thus, have no interest in shopping around to shave off a little money. To date, work is done right the first time, and that, in itself, is a good deal.
