RENOVATION CREW

David McCormick with Renovation Crew came by to give me an estimate on modifying an existing cabinet to accomodate a built-in-microwave replacement. Although the job was smaller than the projects he would normally take on, David ended up doing the job on the spot and even went the extra mile to install the new microwave which was not part of the original request. David was both professional and pleasant and I would definitely hire him again!

I am so very pleased with the work done by Renovation Crew. My kitchen was stuck in the late 80's,even though it was built in the early 90's :) 

David McCormick coordinated everything for the renovation. He was accessible at any point that I needed him, and he kept me up to date on any issues they encountered. Total trust in his crew. They arrived on time and kept their work area as neat as possible. We had one hiccup when the wrong sink was delivered, and the granite had to be re-cut, but the issue was addressed quickly by David and the granite company-- and I may have even ended up with a prettier slab of granite!

For any future renovations I have, I will call  David and Renovation Crew first, no doubt.

Entire project took 10 working days. Took another 7 days to receive glass shower door after measurements were taken.

Very professional.  Great upfront discussions/planning.    Great preparation.  On schedule.  3 weeks to do a job that others quoted more than 10 weeks.

We chose Renovation Crew after getting quotes from multiple contractors. David McCormick visited our house to discuss the project and also quickly answered our many questions as we compared quotes.  The quote had plenty of detail and included their Recommended Supplier List.  David as well as Brittany at Alabama Granite and Courtney at Emser Tile helped us choose quality materials that fit within our allowances.  David gave us a firm time of 2 weeks (10 working days) to complete the renovation and payment in full was due after they completed the project and we were satisfied with the work.
The renovation went great.  The crew (from 3 to 6 people) showed up at 7:30 AM each morning and worked until 5 or 6 PM depending on the items they needed to finish.  They were on time and cleaned up after each workday.  They minimized the spreading of dust/dirt during demolition by isolating that part of the house with plastic and moved/covered all furniture when preparing for the job.  As the job progressed, we had to make a few adjustments to the original plan and that worked smoothly with David and crew.  They finished the job a day early.  They did top quality work and we are completely satisfied with the results.

I cannot praise David McCormick and his crew enough. Our kitchen was a total tear down. The custom cabinets are absolutely gorgeous. The hand-laid wood floor is just perfect. Ditto the granite. David had some very good ideas that we implemented (like a beverage center). The new walk-in shower is also gorgeous. The craftsmanship of all the crew is superb. The one thing, especially, that makes The Renovation Crew different is that you don't pay them a dime until all the work is done to your satisfaction. I was stunned when David told us that. A refreshing change from most contractors. The prices were very, very reasonable. I've had a couple friends see our new kitchen and both of them had just one word... "Wow!". I would highly recommend The Renovation Crew.

I appreciate how they treated my home, and communicated with me concerning the work schedule. They started on time, and were completely done with a major remodel of my kitchen and den (one big room) within two weeks. This included removing a small partition wall, scraping, patching, and painting a popcorn ceiling; reconfiguring existing cabinets, installing granite counters, a new under mount stainless sink, new appliances, adding additional crown moulding, adding recessed lighting, and performing all electrical and painting needed. They also warranty their work for five years. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

The people of Renovation Crew are some of the most pleasant people I have ever met.  They are also very professional.  They answered contacts quickly; answered all questions; arrived punctually every day; completed the project without delay; and did beautiful work whether it entailed cabinetry, painting, plumbing, etc.
They remodeled our kitchen in 2009, and will be remodeling two upstairs baths in 2015.  I enjoy working with them from the design phase all the way through to completion.  I would definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone.

We were absolutely blown away by the Renovation Crew. They started on the date that was given and finished within the time given (less than two weeks). The entire group worked together like a finely tuned machine, and the results were outstanding! Their time in our house was between 8:00 - 5:00, so we had our nights and weekends to ourselves. Our goals in discussing the re-design were fully considered, and they really listened to what WE wanted, offering excellent options and suggestions. This was a complete overhaul of our kitchen, and the results are just fantastic. We highly recommend using Renovation Crew. And it won't be long before we schedule the next project with David McCormick's company. Thanks for fulfilling our dreams of a spectacular kitchen.

As others have already written, David is experienced and able.  He also is trustworthy and a first-class person to deal with.  The schedule went according to plan, with only a day or two extra because he had to leave town for a funeral -- which I consider beyond the call of duty for him.  He used outstanding and hard workers who hit the ground running every day, cleaned up nicely when they finished, and were skilled and careful at their tasks.  We had only a couple of punch list items, which were quickly covered. 
RC's quote was reasonable, the few changes we made were priced very fairly as well, and we would recommend David and his team without hesitation. 
We have given photos of our job to David, and you will see if you ask him that he should be proud of his craftsmanship.

Everything went great.  Great people to work with.  They helped us with our ideas to make the kitchen like we wanted it. (See the above "What did the provider do?" question.

They were very nice, very efficient, they did a good job, and the price was reasonable. They were very nice and considerate, they did excellent, quality work, and they were very fast. They ripped the old cabinets out of my kitchen, and put new ones, new floor, new appliances, new counter and were done in  5 days, except for touch up. We had made the cabinets ahead of time. The cabinet maker had recommended them too.

David and his crew were fantastic!  They showed up on the date/time agreed upon months prior. They removed old tile, cultured marble shower and cultured marble countertop.  They put in new tile floor (with heating underneath), opened up the shower area, tiled a brand new shower which included two shower heads and a large glass wall and shower door, and installed a new granite countertop.  They also repainted the cabinets, walls, wainscot and trim, rehung the towel bars, etc., added new electric outlets, installed a heat lamp, built an interior window above the shower, and replaced the ceiling fan.
The work is beautiful and professionally done.  We love it!  David and his crew do not cut corners!  Also, very important to us is that David called us most evenings (as we were not onsite during the day) to discuss the work that was performed, to see if we had any questions, or to let us know if he needed anything from us.  We have worked with other contractors and found that communication was usually terrible.  David is very proactive and we appreciated it very much.  Also, other than the usual dust with construction, David made sure that our house was not left a mess after his workday.
We expect to have some other projects, like kitchen work, in the not too distant future and will definitely call Renovation Crew to do it for us!

Short version: We can strongly recommend Renovation Crew and we will be using them again for more projects in the very near future. When we finally committed to remodel our kitchen, we did a lot of research on what we wanted to do and who we wanted to do it. We eventually settled on Renovation Crew, but not without some concern (this was a really important project for us and wanted everything to be "just right." I wanted more advice and involvement than they were prepared to offer, but those that offered more advice were much more expensive and seemed somewhat less personal than Renovation Crew. We spent the next several weeks picking out the granite, appliances, etc. We chose to work with vendors that were among those recommended by Renovation Crew and were very pleased with them as well (All South Appliance and Emser Tile - double kudos to Emser!). When we finally told Renovation Crew in October that we wanted them to do the work, they gave us a start date of January 13. This worked well for us. And even though they set that date 3 months in advance, they were on site first thing on Jan. 13 - amazing! Like every project, there were a few issues, but none were with Renovation Crew. These issues (late arrival of cooktop and a problem with the sink) probably caused more problems for them than us as it affected their schedule, which, unlike so many contractors, they take very seriously! The end result was a gorgeous kitchen that we will enjoy sharing with others. I just wish there was an A+ rating!

I could not be more pleased with the work David and his crew did for us. They started on the date they had told me they would. David McCormick, the owner, gave me a deadline of 3 weeks to have the work finished. They are one day over the deadline, but with the quality of work they have done, that really hasn't bothered me at all. When the crew gets here to work, THEY WORK. There has no slouching off or long lunch breaks or anything of that nature. The crew themselves are very professional and pleasant to talk to. Any time we have had any concerns we've been able to contact David and he has responded to us in a very timely manner. When we have spotted something that wasn't done like we thought it should have been, he took care of those concerns with no questions or hesitations. When I look at the work they have done, I feel like I have moved into a newly-built house. I couldn't be more pleased. I do plan to use them in the near future for some work I want done in my bedrooms.

EXCELLENT!! We could not have had a better experience. We had our cabinets painted. They didn't just "faux" paint them, they painted them inside and out with a factory type finish. They look brand new! Our corian was replaced with granite. We had a new backsplash installed. Our island was extended and doubled in size with book shelves built into one end. Alterations were made to a corner hutch. We had a farmhouse sink installed which meant we had to have new doors made. They built a very large built-in bookcase with drawers for storage underneath as well as a new coat rack and bench area in entryway. Lastly, had tile surround replaced in keeping room fireplace. The company had great communication. If they were unable to answer the phone, someone called us back promptly. We received a call nightly from the project manager to make sure all was well and what to expect the next day. They showed up on time-every time. They were super professional, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. Best of all? Done in 8 working days with no compromise in the quality of their work. Will definitely use again!!

The renovation went like clockwork. My biggest worry about
undertaking the project was finding the right business to do it, especially
when I work full-time, but they took care of everything.  The first few days of the reno, I was out of town and my elderly and easily rattled mother was childsitting.  I was worried this would send her over the edge but everything went fine and she had nothing but compliments about how they cleaned up at the end of each day, were polite, arrived when they said they would and worked hard all day.  I was at work the remaining week and a half and didn't worry about not being there.  Everything was prompt  - the estimate, returning emails, responding to concerns/questions/requests and finishing when they said they would.  They always did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it.  When they finished, they left the place
sparkling and spotless.  There were no hassles and most important of all the work is beautiful.   They delivered exactly what I asked for, and when it was all said and done, it looked better than I had even envisioned.  David was great to call and check in with me throughout the project.   When I got back in town, I noticed they had begun a recessed niche in the tub tile that was not in the quote.  When I mentioned it to David, he said that "I guess that's a nice surprise", they completed this and I was not charged extra.  They also did some extras at no additional cost such as installing new toilet handles, drilling in and installing a shower rod, adding thresholds between the bedroom carpet and tile and replacing the gold plumbing under the pedestal sink so everything in there would match.   Another "above and beyond" was a couple weeks before they were to begin, I had two toilets break, both in the areas to be worked in.  David had someone come on ahead and replace one of the toilets within a few days but I did not have to pay for it until all the work was done.  They do not require any money up front for their work - nothing until all work is complete and you are satisfied at the end.    This is amazing to order this much work and pay nothing until the end.  I can't even get some pictures developed without pre-paying.  I also appreciated how David readily gave cost-cutting ideas in the process of going through all the bathrooms to develop his quote.  After I paid, one of the toilets developed a problem with it running and they promptly sent someone back to rectify it. I think my Mom summed up the whole experience the best, ?I didn?t know there were folks out there like that anymore.? I hope to undertake renovation of our remaining baths and will definitely use them again.

Outstanding!  The Renovation Crew as great to work with, very flexible and we made design changes throughout the three week project.  They offered great suggestions based on their experience and the finished project is fantastic.  They are completely professional and the craftsmanship on the cabinets, island and vanity is simply amazing.  Their list of providers (granite, tile, appliances) are top notch and the project manager handled all the details, from time to order to time of delivery.
The entire project was done on time and within budget and we were kept informed throughout the process.  We have been happy to show off the finished product to several Renovation Crew potential clients and have no reservations in recommending them.

The entire crew was punctual, courteous, and did things "right." Small things that came up such as needing new face plates for electrical outlets were included in the price instead of charging me extra. They were done on time. Beautiful remodel, wish we could have done it earlier!

We got five estimates on the remodel of our bathroom, which had significant water damage in the floor and shower. When I called the Renovation Crew to get one I talked to Beck Roshto who I immediately liked.  We set an appt and  David McCormick came out and gave us an estimate.  The estimate proved to be very reasonable and we liked David's "presentation".  My wife was planning to have surgery in about a month and we were looking for a fast turnaround.  Although the Renovation Crew was booked up David said that they would see what could be done about expediting the work if we went with them.
After notifying them through email they sent us a list of places that could be used to select things like the tile and granite.  We were free of course to select from other vendors.  Becky called and scheduled the work with us; due to their work load they were going to be doing bits and parts of the work over a month's time as they could fit it in.  Communication with them through email and by phone was very timely and allowed smooth implementation of the project.
We were surprised the first day they were scheduled to come out, when David and Tommy Roshto (owner) showed up with 3 other workers to begin demolition of the old bathroom. They accomplished most of the demolition the first day, and completed significant repairs to our joist system and floor. Furthermore, we were very pleased that over the next week and a half they worked almost full time on our bathroom and completed it.  We also asked them in the process to install engineered hardwood in our kitchen which they completed in the same time frame..  It was obvious they had worked around everything else to get our work done in advance of my wife's surgery.
David coordinated the work each day and we grew to trust him and the other Renovation Crew workers.  They did an outstanding job. They took care to cover everything before beginning to minimize dust collection on our carpet and furniture.  All trash and left over materials were removed by project end.   All employees were very pleasant and polite.  All seemed to know what they were doing. 
A special thanks to Thomas Roshto for his work in doing an excellent plumbing job and in handling the extra "loose" ends that came with some of the plumbing work.
The work was done well in advance of the original date and within the estimate.
 
We deeply appreciate the effort the company made to get the work done in advance of my wife's surgery, allowing her to use the new bathroom; this facilitated her recovery from surgery.  I recommend the company to anyone.  Their price is fair, the work of good quality, and they care about the people they are doing the work for.
