Orkin Pest Control

Okrin has been great. Our tech, Fred, is great. Down to earth, friendly, trustworthy, and professional. And the treatments definitely seem to work. Big difference once they started and we often see a bit of insect activity right before its time for our bimonthly visit, which goes away after the treatment.

They were fine and they did the job but nothing stood out about them. They answered all my questions and they're pretty knowledgeable.

Used Orkin to remove small number of bats from the vents on one end of my house. Determined bats were on the outside of the vents (screened from the inside of the attic). Their tasks were to remove bats and install external screen vents on both ends of the house. They successfully got rid of the bats. However, the screening job while functional, was not terribly professional looking. That plus the cost of the service ($900), leaves a bad taste in my mouth. In retrospect, I should have solicited other bids for the work. For the amount of time and materials they expended on this job, I feel I paid way too much. My bad. Lesson learned.

We have used Orkin Pest Control for a long time, they have always been good to us. They do what they are supposed to and don't get in the way. We have not had any problems with them.

They are very good and I am very pleased with them. Although I have not checked I would say their prices are comparable with others although I was their price was a little cheaper. I am using them because their stuff is safe for animals. I will use them again in the future.

They just do a good job. They keep the targeted pests down. I would surely recommend them to a friend. They are very professional and dependable. There's nothing that I'm not satisfied with and so there's no need for any improvement. I really don't know what the price range is around but it's satisfactory to me. Sometimes they run late. I will continue to use them in the future.

They are so good. I have not seen a bug in I can not tell you when. I can feel good to call them any time through the quarter if there is a problem. The service man is so good. He always calls first and shows up when he says he is going to. They also offer outside Mosquito control which in Alabama in the summer is very important. Other wise you can not go out in the yard.

They come spray to inside and outside. They will also point out a few problem areas and target that area more. We always have a wasp nest on the front porch every year that they attend to before it becomes a problem. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have a contract with them. They come out every other month. I spend $175 on them. When I had initially called them out, I had issues with ants. I have not had any problems since they have been coming out. I think they were on Angie's List when I started using them two years ago. I started using them because they were well known. I would continue to use them in the future.

We have a contract with them. We pay around $85 every other month. We like their tech that comes by. His name is Fredrick. He is a nice guy and he has done a good job. We don't have any problems with bugs in our home. We are not too thrilled having pesticides in my home. We are not sure if we want to switch to a more natural form of pest control.

The one guy that comes out is really friendly and goes an extra mile for me. He provides good customer service. He calls and comes when he says he will. I don’t have pets anymore, but I guess the stuff he uses is okay. The price seems to be fair. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

I live in an area which is being revitalized and so there are some rough parts and Orkin did not want to come because of this reason. They always came when we were not there at home. I would never use this company again. I did not like the fact that they would not come at the time I want them to and the technicians did not like the area I lived in and even told me about it. I did not like their attitude and I don’t think they did a good job either.

We had Orkin coverage for a few years. They did inspections and sprayed chemicals around the house. We did not have a problem with this. The main problem was this: when we discovered a formosan termite in the house, the Orkin salespeople were pushing very hard to have us purchase a NEW bond (since formosan termites were not covered under the original bond) for $1500 and a Sentricon monitoring system ($500+), and would increase our annual rate substantially. They used hard sell tactics to get us to sign right away. When we contacted their competitor (Cook's) they took over our bond at no cost, installed Sentricons at a lower price and gave us a better rate. Their pushy sales people and high rates drove us away, and we are now very happy with Cook's.

I have a monthly contract, but they came out just the other day to get rid of a nest of yellow jackets. Shane is really great!

I have a contract with them. They come out every two months. They set up an appointment and call before they come out. They do treatment for the interior as well as the exterior of the house. If I have any problems with ants or bugs in between their visits I can call them and they would come out at no additional charge.

They came out on the initial visit and inspected and sprayed. They are going to come back every other month to check up on things. They said if I see anything to call them and they will come back at no charge.

We are satisfied with the workers and the service we receive from this company. They show up on time, and we have not seen any termites since they began coming. For the most part they always seem to go above and beyond our expectations. The only issues I have are they could be a little less expensive and show up on time more.

I do not like any kind of bugs at all which is why I hired Orkin to come and spray before we had a problem. The people that come out are always friendly and take their time spraying so they don't miss any places. They also have a guarantee that if you ever have a problem they will come back out.

I could really tell they were very thorough in the inspection and were not just thumbing around. They looked in places that I wouldn t even imagine looking, and they let me know their honest opinions. I liked the way they were 100% professional, and they also were very careful with the work they were doing. They tried not to mess anything up.

I discontinued their service after using them for 5 years. Their quality of controlling pest was great but I just didn t like the fact they had different people coming out to my home to spray each month. They definitely had a problem with their personnel. If they would rectify that issue we would used them again.

I have been using Orkin since 1950. I am extremely pleased with the service and level of professionalism I get from Orkin. I am also happy to say, I have had no issues with termites. The gentleman from Orkin always calls me before he comes over and is always on time. I am also happy to report Orkin never raises the prices, they charge me for termite inspection. I would recommend Orkin to anyone.

They did a good job when I used them. I had used them for years, but just recently I moved to a retirement home, so I don t use them anymore. I really didn t have any complaints about them.

Orkin has always been very reliable and courteous around our home. They were always extensive when explaining the purpose of and the end result of each chemical they used. The pesticides were children and pet friendly. They did great work, and they cleaned up after themselves quite well.

Although the cost for this service was a little higher than the average, I felt the quality was much better. They provide good written guarantees on the work. In the time I was with them I didn't experience any real trouble. They always showed up on time. I'd recommend Orkin to family and friends. I found the workers friendly and apt to deal with any issues we had. They gave good advice to further minimize the chances of a bug problem, like recommending we cutback on the number of bushes we had. They made a point of assuring us they used only non-toxic chemicals, which posed no risk to our baby or dog.
