Nelson rep. measured the opening for glass replacement.We were told installation would be in 10 days.Called for installation after 3 weeks. Started installation but stopped because they ordered the wrong hardware. 2 weeks later installed the glass but not the door because door and hinge did not fit. Noticed that one glass side was not perpendicular. Called owner. Installer looked at glass. His response was that glass does not bend. Called owner again.Response was that installer was sick for 2 weeks.Installer returned and fixed glass properly but left a hole in the new tile. I called the tile guy and he fixed the hole. This job was planned to take 2 weeks but all the delays it took over 2 months.

I had to call and leave several messages in order to try to get a quote for replacing a single pane of glass on our front door.  I finally told the receptionist that I was calling their competition as this seemed like a lot of requests to get a quote.  I got a voice message from someone a week later saying he would like to help me and needed me to call him to let him know what work was to be done.  I gave up on them figuring they did not need the work or have the time for such a small project.
I called another glass contractor, but when he went to the building to look at the work to be done, he informed me that someone had already replaced the broken pane.  I was totally confused.  I assumed that someone had come by to quote it, saw how small a project it was, and did a courtesy repair.  I apologized to this other guy who had taken time out of his day to come over and give me a professional quote.  When I inspected the work, it looked terrible - like someone on their first project had squeezed silicon out of a toothpaste tube and not tried to scrape any of the excess off of the glass.  I thought it was ok since someone was nice enough to fix it for free.
Several weeks later I received a phone call from Nelson Glass saying they had tried to mail me an invoice but that it had been returned in the mail.  I told them I was confused as we never authorized them to do any work.  After several days of trying to reach the guy who apparently is in charge of their small residential projects, I finally got him on the phone.  He said he never heard anything about a quote.  Someone had just told him to go and do the work.  I told him I would be ok paying the bill, but that they needed to come back and do a much better job before being paid.  He also confirmed my correct mailing address and said he would leave the invoice in my mailbox.  Someone promptly came back to fix the initially sloppy work, but I still do not have the invoice.
Sloppy at best.

It took Nelson 3 trips, wrong thickness, then wrong size.  Once they received the correct window the handled the job professionally.  Very apologetic for slight issue, however I will use them again

Nelson did a nice job with both projects. They listened to what I wanted and prepared the mirror exactly as requested. The representative was very patient as I evaluated the options and made a decision. installation went smoothly.

Work was done exactly as I would have wished. The glass was attached to the Deco frame without damage to the somewhat fragile (cracking) painted finish. Moreover, the repairs were expeditious. I brought the frames to the shop on 4-20-10, and the work was done by mid-afternoon on the following day -- a 24-hour turnaround.

They offered a good price, they were very professional, and came out when they said they would be there. I was happy with the job they did.

They were very courteous. They were done within an hour. It was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. They were on time and they were friendly as well.

The window to be build was very complicated and the outcome was just great as can be. The window turned out exactly the way I had wanted it. Honestly, I think it looks better than I anticipated. This company is two for two with me. The shower and the window are just as gorgeous as can be. I have no complaints at all with anything. I enjoyed their services and I would gladly have them back.

Nelson Glass Company is a very good company and I would recommend them for sure. The people were courteous, efficient and they made it easy to negotiate out the plans the way we wanted them. I found them professional and prompt in returning phone calls. Very nice work overall.

I was very pleased with the job and clean up. There wasn't one speck of glass left for me to get in my foot. The job was a speedy one, and the workman was very polite. I will use them again if I break my window.
