LOVELADY PLUMBING CO

A plumber came out from Lovelady Plumbing to fix the leak. He said he found the problem and had repaired the leak. I paid for the repair threw Angi List. The next day I took a shower and it still leaked as bad as it did before Lovelady came out. I sent a complaint to Angi List threw its web site. I have not heard back from any one since. He was prompt, immediately identified the issue and fully explained what would need to be done and how much it would cost. I found him to be completely honest and extremely transparent. This is the second time I have used this company's services and I while I pray I don't need repairs too often, if I do have issues they will be my "go to" company. In short, I highly recommend this company, they are amazing.

Installation went ok after he arrived four hours late. Multiple call to the office did not get answered and calls were not returned.

Work done through Lowes. They sent someone out to detail what needed to be done before pricing it out. We got a price and approved the work being done. When he detailed the work he said he could be out the next morning to put in the water tank. The next morning, Lovelady called and told us it would be the morning of the next day bofore he could do the work. The next day he came in installed the water tank but could not turn it on because the water pressure was too high. He said we needed another type water pressure regulator because the pressure was 150 psi and the one installed could regulate up to 120 psi. He gave is a price of $485 to put in the regulator. The regulator cost about $120 and the rest would be labor of $365. It took him about 30 minutes to install it but still charged $365 of labor. He had the regulator in his truck. That is a price of $730 per hour. The main complaint is that this should have been caught on the detail trip on the first day and priced into the contract. That might have changed my decision on using their services. I will not use them again and I don't recommend them to anyone.

I received prompt attention from Lovelady about setting up installation time.  We added on more services like installing a disposal and hooking up a new sink.  Changing out outlets and installing chandelier lights.  They also installed the dishwasher and range.  I found all of the workers very personable and professional.  Went the extra mile to do quality work.

They're work was fine but they were incredibly expensive.

I ordered the dishwasher on line from Sears.  When Lovelady's brought the dishwasher out and unpackaged it,  it was damaged.  The rep from Lovelady showed me the damage. He could have bent the parts back in place and installed the dishwasher without my ever knowing, so I totally appreciated his honesty.  Sears then had to send another dishwasher and Lovelady's picked it up and installed it the same day it got to the warehouse.  This family owned business has gone above an beyond the extra mile to help me get this dishwasher installed.  And it was greatly appreciated.  I've spoken with several people at this company, all have been extremely professional and helpful.  I will definitely be using them again.  Next month, in fact.  Every time I use my dishwasher, I think of the kind folks at Lovelady's and smile!

He did excellent work. He also fixed the wall, which I appreciated. I would highly recommend them. He also cleaned up behind himself. The price was reasonable, as well.

Prompt and professional service. Went out of their way for an emergency late night install.

I was called Saturday morning by Lovelady asking if they could do the install that day. The installer arrived within the window they gave me. Halfway through the removal of the old dishwasher, he stopped and told he me couldn't install the new one because it was too big for the opening. I was told I needed a 34and quot; tall opening, and I only had 33 3/4and quot;. He then told me that he would have to cut the old one out, even though it went in years ago with the same cabinets, floor and counter-top. However, that was moot since the new one wouldn't go in anyway.
I told him to leave the new dishwasher behind before he left. After checking the installation instructions, I found that the dishwasher really needed a 33 1/2and quot; opening. I had 1/4and quot; of a gap. Granted, not a lot of room but dishwashers are supposed to be a tight fit (in my opinion at least).
Lowes called Lovelady and received the same answer of and quot;need 34and quot; opening; we can't install itand quot;. After checking the on-line specs for the unit, Lowes and I both agreed that didn't make any sense.
Lowes sent over another installer from another company (I refused to let Lovelady back in my home). The new installer was GREAT, and was able to get the old one out without cutting it in half and the new one in with no problems (I'm writing them a glowing review as soon as I finish this). I am washing the first load of dishes as I type this.
I will never use them again, and if I have any box-store do an installation, I will ask them not to use Lovelady plumbing.

Their prices were high. They did a pretty good job. They were very professional and I didn't have to clean up after them.

We were so grateful when Lovelady Plumbing Company quickly responded to Sears request to install our new dishwasher as the initial dishwasher we ordered from Sears turned out to be a disappointment and we could not use it as it was not working properly. Joseph and his employee were fantastic at installing the new dishwasher that we ordered and also getting the garbage disposal to function properly. It was a perfect installation with no problems at all and I was grateful for the quick tips on how to use the new dishwasher as my time was very limited on reading the owners' manuals at that time. Joseph was quite friendly and great at answering questions. We were not charged for his services as Sears took care of that end of things for us. This was a very fine company to work with.

I was told by the receptionist of Lovelady Plumbing, in Irondale Alabama, that the company charged a and quot;flat rateand quot; for their services. She was excited to tell me that this would save me money, because I would get the garbage disposal put in for one charge no matter how long it took, the charge would be 139 dollars. Well I had a tenant who needed the disposal fixed asap so I made an appointment with them immediately because they were available and I liked the and quot;ideaand quot; of one flat rate instead of by the hour, just in case something unforseen happened.
Well because the receptionist told me it would be cheaper to buy the diposal myself, I did and I dropped it at my rental house. The next day or so they came to install it. Only problem was the installer said, it did not work. They called and told me this so I retrieved the broken one and bought another one. My tenant called them a couple of days later to have them install the new one and I thought I was done with the garbage disposal odyssey. I should have called and asked some more questions but I assumed that because I was paying a and quot;flat rateand quot; fee I would not be charged again for the second instalation. But of course I learned differently when I got my bill. My initial charge was 278 dollars a double charge.
I was upset, so I called the company to ask for and explanation. The receptionist said she couldn't help me, but suggested that I call the garbage disposal company, because it was their fault they had to come back and re-install, so I should try to get my money from them. She then told me she would have the owner call me back. Either the next day or the day after that he called me back. Mr Lovelady said he felt his charges were fair because he went out twice to install, so he should get paid twice. I told him I had called two other plumbers and both of them said if I had used them, they would have charged me 125 dollars for the first hour and if they had to come back to re-install they would only charge for any additional time it took over the one hour initial charge . The hours after the first hour charge are priced in 1 quarter hour increments until the job was done .Probably would have cost me only the initial 125 dollar first hour charge, because it only takes a few minutes to install a disposal. I am sure it would not have cost me 278 dollars.
I own my part of what happened because I was stupid not to check and make sure they were only going to charge me ONE flat rate. From what I read, flat rate pricing is supposed to have some pitfalls for the businesses that do this because they are supposed to absorb the cost if it takes longer or more materials are needed ect. Lovelady plumbing had it's cake and ate it too. After everything I presented to Mr Lovelady he said he still thought his price was fair but would think about it and send me another bill with his final price. I was honest with him and told him I would pay what ever he charged me this time but I would never use him again. He didn't seem to care, even though he lost business from a family who own 13 houses collectively. Several days later I got his final bill and he did take off 50 dollars but I felt like the second charge should have been removed totally.
So this was my experience with Mr. Lovelady and Lovelady Plumbing. He was told personally and now you know that I will never use their sevices again!

Provided an estimate one day and did the work the following day. Since the base of the grill was in concrete, Collin needed to dig down and then reconcrete it.

The visit went very well, although it was more expensive than I expected, although Collin gave me a break on price. He also helped me out with a couple of other little things while he was waiting on a part to be delivered (for free!). He was very helpful and I didn't feel as though he was trying to oversell me on anything. The hot water heater no longer leaks and the gas line is working great.
