I have been going in getting my hair done in lots of different places over the years and they do the best color that you can get. Kandacetakes a lot of time with you. She will walk you through with everything and she works with you on exactly what color needs you might have. It's the best haircut I ever got so I always go back there. They are excellent!

I love this place. Comfortable, unpretentious, and highly skilled stylists. I didn't know exactly what I wanted when I got there, but I left looking wonderful. Kandace is an amazing colorist. PERFECT.

I was disappointed in the ability of the stylist to perform a precision layered cut.

This is the first time I used this salon as it is very hard to get into the one I have used before. Scheduling was easy and I got an appt the week I called but unsure if that is typical. Once I got to the salon I was taken back after ~10 minute wait. I requested Jeff after seeing all his good reviews, he was very nice and listened to what I wanted. He did a great job cutting/styling my hair and will keep going back to him. Haircut cost was great, I have paid similar amounts for haircuts in town and even twice as much with results that were ok but not worth the cost! Highly recommend this very nice hair salon for cuts and may need to get color soon too.

It was great - Kandace was the person who performed the service. I was actually 15 mins late and she was patiently waiting for me.. the highlights look great,.. best highlight job I have ever had and will definitely in the future.

I had an appointment with Jen. She was very prompt and professional. Everything went on time and I was out in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. She nailed the color that I wanted. I will be using her again.

I have found my new hair home! I have very, VERY thick hair and I needed color in a big way. Jeff, the owner of the shop, gave me the best cut I've ever had and great color. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, offered a drink and had a seat in the very comfortable lobby area. Jeff took me back almost immediately. The salon is SPOTLESS, the equipment is top of the line. I even had a shampoo in a sink that tilts and moves to fit the back of your head! Gorgeous cut and color and Jeff is a hoot. My cut/color was $100 and I purchased some conditioner. I highly recommend Jeff.

The hairdresser was about 15 minutes behind schedule, which is not bad. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she duplicated it. She also asked me questions about my routines (I swim 3x/week) and decided to go for a deeper color, which I liked. The highlights were perfect. The cut was the nicest one I've had since relocating here.
I felt like the stylist listened. The place was clean and nice. It is a regular hair salon, not an overpriced day spa.

The salon is clean and they demonstrate that they care from the moment you arrive until you leave the salon. I booked for just a color appointment and ended up also getting a trim because stylist did not want me leaving without looking good. She was even late leaving by the time she finished because I had not thought to request the shape-up. I was so very thrilled that she thought to insist and was willing to make herself late leaving the salon for the day. All the stylist at this salon demonstrate that same level of care and character and it is a joy to be a client.

I arrived 20 minutes early and was shampooed right away. The stylist I booked, Jaime Perez,was the only one who was pointed out to me by the receptionist (or was she another stylist?) so I have no idea who anyone else was as no one introduced themselves. I explained what I wanted (a chin length bob) and she set to work cutting right away. She cut very, very fast, but I think she cut my layers evenly. The overall cut has good lines. She handed me off to someone else to start blow drying my hair who used only her fingers and shaking the dryer. When Jaime returned she sprayed my hair with hairspray and then used a flat iron. This left my straight hair flat and lifeless. Had she used a round brush and taken time to dry my hair in layers I would have had fullness and bounce. My bangs were cut unevely and had to be fixed later at home. Jaime talked with her coworkers constantly while she did my hair so I know very little about her and she knows nothing about me. I'm not looking to make deep personal connections with my stylist, but I do expect that if I'm paying for a personal service and your time that I be the focus of that time. Without having her undivided attention I wondered if she was as thorough as she could have been or was more concerned with turnover. I'd use this salon again in a pinch, but I'm not sure if I'd use Jaime again.

I just moved to the area 3 weeks ago and didn't know how I was going to find a good salon. Like everyone, I am very hesitant about a new stylist unless I've heard great reviews. So I joined angie's list because I would definitely pay a few bucks to have someone tell where to go than give someone a shot and hate my hair until it grew back. I couldn't find a website for Eclipse so I went in when I thought they would open. They were very friendly and asked if I could come back at 11:30. When I got there, Jennifer was able to take me back right and away and asked what I wanted to do. I wanted to keep the length but needed a new look, so I asked her to add layers and bangs. My hair is naturally very wavy so she added layers that wouldn't weigh it down. I love my new style! I can step out the shower and not have to spend more than 10 mins on my hair because it falls nice naturally with my cut. Jennifer is very sweet and did a great job in 30 minutes. Very comfortable salon.

This is one of the best haircuts I have ever had! Jeffry (the owner) did an excellent job. He listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. He did a great job braiding and cutting off a 12" ponytail (for donation) and then gave me a wonderful haircut. I love it. It's really easy to take care of and doesn't require constant mantainance. He gave me great advice on what would look good on me and what would be easy to take care of. Plus, he's just a really nice guy and fun to talk with. HIGHLY recommend him!

Plain and simple... he knows how to cut hair. The results are quite apparent when you find a stylist who has this expert knowledge and Jeff has it. I have long, curly very thick hair and the first time I felt I received a proper hair cut was 6 yrs ago in Wisconsin by a stylist who was trained in New York. She washed then dried my hair straight (big thing due to my hair type). Curly hair lays differently dry vs. wet and layering is important to a good curl... and to keep "big hair" away during the humid summers. I had this conversation with Jeff and he reinforced the information I had received previously about cutting techniques - it was quite obvious that he has expert level experience. I received an exceptional haircut and have finally found my Alabama stylist. I don't remember the cost of the cut, however I do remember not having any concerns with the price when I paid. He does not take credit cards, and when he saw me present my card he informed me of this and said if I didn't have alternate payment with me I could send it to him later. Luckily I had cash on me and will remember it for my next appointment.

Jeffrey is the owner of the salon. He has been in the business for some time and definitely knows what he is doing. He gave me the best haircut I have had in a very long time. I also am happy with my color. The salon is attractive and well-designed. It was a great experience all the way around. I plan to become one of Jeffrey's regular clients.

Eclipse is a beautiful, fairly new salon in the Riverchase area just off 31. The salon is modern and attractive, very nicely decorated, but not stuffy or snotty--just cool and fun. Karen is great--I've been using her for years, long before she moved to Eclipse. She's unbelievable with color. And she has a sweet spirit that makes her a blessing just to be around. She has also done updos and special occasion hair for my daughter and me. For me the salon is a great experience.
