Excellent job from first meeting to conclusion. Scott was on time for every meeting. Provided quotes promptly. Made recommendations. Showed up on time, finished on time, and did excellent work. He even called to follow up after the job. A breath of fresh air after meeting other paint contractors.

Extremely poorly. The owner sent out a painter who was completely unskilled and unprofessional. He showed up late, and sometimes not at all, usually because he was so hungover. One day he worked for just 3 or 4 hours because he was so hungover. The job was supposed to take 2-3 days max but dragged on for more than 7 days. They were always supposed to have 2-3 painters on site, but usually it was just the one hungover guy by himself. Sometimes he would bring along a random person who truly appeared to be someone he had pulled off the street that day. After days of slow, bad work, I had to hound the owner to come look at the job himself. What he found was a filthy job site, shoddy prep work, and terrible quality of the painting. Finally the owner sent out a competent crew who finished the job in a day and a half, but there was only so much they could do since the quality was so bad from the start. The new crew pointed out all sorts of things the first painter failed to do or did poorly. They admitted that the first painter was not at all competent. They are still supposed to replace some poorly cut wood that the first painter did, but it's been weeks now so I doubt I'll see them again. Maybe the most frustrating part was that it took so much effort on my part to convince the owner that I had legitimate concerns. He was very slow to admit it and make a change. Also, the first painter lied to me constantly, but the owner kept backing up his stories for days until he finally saw just how bad it was. There's no excuse for how badly this job went, especially since it was a really small job overall. I feel like I got ripped off and paid full price for half-done work. Steer clear.

Mr White is very professional and I liked him however, the job did not go well. The painters started to paint the railings and spindles the wrong color - that was fixed immediately. The painter did not paint the entire underside of the deck, only portions of it, paint started to bubble and peel the day after they painted, a spindle they repaired is not the right size, the deck boards that were replaced were thrown in the yard, and when they moved the deck furniture back (they did not put it where is originally sat however) they dragged the furniture over brand new travertine tiles instead of picking it up. They left the yard messy at night and even the pool. Cigarette butts were found in the yard. They left the back gate unlatched and I have 2 dogs. Everything is fixed, except for the wrong size spindle because frankly, I was tired of dealing with this and having them over to the house repeatedly. They did state that they wanted me to be satisfied and were very prompt with their responses to my complaints. I should add that the deck looks nice.

Once the workers were aware of the proposed work to be done they said it couldn't be done in the fashion that was quoted. Preston called me at that time to inform me that he was unaware of the problems that existed with my previous paint job, that this job would be much more labor-intensive to complete. The conversation reeked of the old bait and switch. I could tell that he was fixing to ask me for more money than he had previously quoted, so at that time I chose to cancel the job

CertaPro was referred to me by a friend who had used them in the past.  They were the middle estimate we received in this process.  
CertaPro was very good at communicating and walking you through the entire process.  The office administrator would call and make sure you knew who to expect and at what time.  They showed up on time and were hard workers.  There is typically a project manager onsite that supervises the crew while the owner rotates between job sites.  
The uniformed crew was very nice and extremely professional.  They did a great job and you could tell each individual took pride in their work.  They were nice to my kids and took time to answer questions.
My one and only complaint involves the storm windows.  In my opinion, the storm windows were not re-installed properly and the windows began "sweating" immediately.  Other than that, no issues and we will definitely use them again if the need rises.

They had the best price of the 4 quotes we received.  They finished painting the house over about a week's time.  It took several more days than anticipated due to rain.  Workers were polite, supervisors were easy to work with.  Finished job looks good.  They also gave me a verbal estimate for painting our deck while they were here.  Formal written quote came back almost $2,000 more than the verbal estimate so we did not use them for the deck project.

Two painters showed up late and wanted payment up front so they could go buy supplies. My husband gave them the money and paint was purchased. They dropped off paint and said would come back next day.  My husband received call that evening from them (the actual painters) wanting more money.  At this point we had enough and cancelled job.  Had a wonderful individual that we found through a friend do the entire job in one day for $800.00.

Will never recommend them.

A bit on the pricey side and I had to call them back several times. There was a problem with the estimate and I was forced to pay an extra $500 because the estimate was done poorly. The house still has spots that they missed but I'll try to do it myself because the crew chief (?) won't return calls well and calling the boss gets a response but it never gets completely done. I had to supply ladders and other things that they didn't bring with them on the call back. Entire ceilings were missed and nail holes were not repaired when they were supposed to be. They almost ran out of paint on one of the rooms so they mixed two shades together to finish. It had to be touched up because it was done poorly and it didn't come close to matching and they had to buy more paint to redo the entire room but I only got 1 wall redone. The other 3 walls are a different shade. The owner is a nice guy but they need to have better quality control. I am still finding mistakes weeks later.

Preston White came to my house and took measurements and details of what I wanted done and figured my quote. We arranged a date for the work to be done. The workers arrived on time and actually WORKED the whole time they were here. They pressure washed the house first, then painted. They cleaned up behind themselves and made it look neat. The only complaint that I would have is that when they pressure washed, it splattered onto my windows and they didn't spray it off the windows. This would have taken another 10 seconds per window max and it would have left a more finished look.

He came and did a thorough look and gave a thorough estimate. However, his price was just a little bit higher.

It was a wonderful experience overall. They were very thorough and I can’t think of any negatives about them (we’re very picky). They cleaned up well after themselves. They helped with picking out the colors and my house is incredibly gorgeous!  They cost more than some painters, but it was definitely worth it.

Overall, the experience was excellent. I received alot of bids, and this company's price was outstanding. They sent out a good crew. The work took a little longer than we had anticipated or planned, but they were very responsive in all instances and circumstances. The protracted period of time required was in part based on some inclement weather. They had a subcontracting group (Cashmere Group). Tom Moran from Cashmere Group, as was the contractor, Preston White, with CertaPro, were very professional. They were just good people and I will have them back when it comes time to do more. I would recommend them to anybody!

I had few problems. You call CertaPro Painters and they have painters all over. You wouldn?t know which crew you would get. The crew who came was great at first. Then they screwed up on some stuff on the paint coat. They wanted to charge me on getting the right paint coat. I told them I wouldn?t do that. There were couple of problems and called back Mr. White more than once. Second or third time when I called him, I told him that didn?t want the same crew coming out. They got paint all over my porch, they poured the paint on a flower bed and messed it up and left. I told him that I didn?t want the paint there and it was very unprofessional. So I didn?t want the same crew back. He did not send them back and straightened out everything to my satisfaction. Mr. White took care of everything. He kept telling me what he could do to make me happy and what he would get done. He took care of everything. He got the mess cleaned up that got all over my house. He got the paint over the patio and the paint which was spilt on the porch cleaned. When the paint was held for a long time, the water went through the porch pump into the basement. It was running there for a long time. I would not recommend the crew who came here. I would recommend Mr. White, who is the representative of CertaPro Painters of Hoover AL because he took care of everything. I told him that I would call him again when I want to get my kitchen painted. I would like to grade Mr. White A on responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism; it was excellent with regards to Mr. White. Mr. White was definitely professional. He kept what he said. The crew was not good. He came and saw the mess. He sent another crew and everything was resolved.
