$185
How did it go? Horribly. They showed up exactly as promised, and spent about an hour to: 1. Try unsuccessfully to get the camera any farther than 6 ft. (James said this) down the pipe. This was a $185 service. 2. Fail to find the drain clean out. So they arranged to come at 9am the next morning with jackhammer and begin installing a new one for at least $1000, but as much as $15,000 (James said this too). So we called another plumber who made 2 visits, found the clean out in 10 minutes and snaked our drain so I could watch 4 times. He also roto-rooted 3 times to make sure we were clear. While here, he also re-sent Ed the toilet Borders left loose and fixed a leaky shower. All for $350. Said we'd be good for at least 5 years. To add insult to injury, I had to text and remind Borders to email me the invoice, which they could also never seem to do. So they mailed one. I received it on Mon 1/31 after returning from a business trip. Since you can't pay online and I don't use checks, I planned to call when I had a chance. I was shocked to receive a text threatening a lien if I didn't pay on Tuesday! That I'm sure came from his "secretary" or girlfriend or whatever, who was less than polite during our one phone conversation, acting as though I'd purposely given her an incorrect email address. Turns out I didn't need to call because instead, now holed up with my whole family with the flu, James just showed up at my house demanding his $185! I told him what I thought, but got my credit card and paid him. 15 minutes later HE RANG MY DOORBELL AGAIN, having gotten my credit card number wrong. UNBELIEVABLE. I can't ever remember this type of brazen rudeness following such a display of incompetence (or failed money grab?). But he was polite. Gotta give him that.
Response from Border's Plumbing
"I have text to prove this guy is just a disgruntled person. It took three plumbers to finally do his job. I will post text to prove how rude and dishonest this man is just as I sent proof to bibb will be sending to you as well. He finally paid his bill after a month of me asking but dropped the credit card at Mr borders feet smiling. This guy is as obnoxious as they come. We work for his family members and all gave good reviews except the one guy who couldn't get his work for free. Sorry bud we all have jobs and livings to make can't do hand outs to family acquaintances."

It went pretty good overall. Brian was awesome and will definitely ask for him again whenever I have another problem. The only real complaint I have is that when running the new pipe, it was necessary to remove some of a sidewalk beside my house. When the new concrete was laid to replace the section that had been removed, it was very sloppy. When Brian came back out to finish up a couple little things, he was able to smooth it out for me and make it a little better, but in the future, I'll probably ask the company to sub out any concrete repair work as they are better plumbers than masons.

Overall I'm satisfied and will call upon them again in the future when needing any plumbing services.

There were times when the owner of this company did not have a professional, respectful attitude towards me.

We had a water leak at Dr. Norman Walton 's Office, we obtained several estimates, Boarders Plumbing estimate was 2,000 dollars below our lowest estimate. He got the job done quickly , and we are very satisfied with his work. We highly recommend him. He is Licensed and Insured, honest and reliable, what a blessing . Thanks, Denise Lee Norman Walton MD PC

Our home warranty made us get an inspection through another plumbing service when our water heater went out. They wanted to charge almost $2000 for the code fixes and that was not including the cost of the hot water heater. Mr. Borders had previously repaired a main drain in my home, so I gave him a call. He came over and priced the water heater with the same exact code fixes as the other plumbing services. His prices: $1125, including the water heater. His guys came out the next day when I would be home and replaced the hot water heater. It took them around 4 hours to do all the work. Mr. Borders came and inspected their work and to make sure I was happy with the quality of his services. I will gladly use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done on their home.
