I received an estimate in late summer. We met with them several times to debate styles and price points. They were very patient with us. The actual work started in December an finished in January. It was a slow job due to several weather delays. They seemed to take pride in their work even calling me out to look periodically. Of course there were some minor issues which were promptly attended to when pointed out. My only complaint is that the guys were a little messy and left some debris for us to clean up. Overall, I am pleased with the work.

We had several quotes from different companies around the city. Blair's quote was the most reasonable for the work. The workers were well-mannered and cleaned up daily behind their work. We will be using them again to finish replacing the siding on the remainder of the house.

Their work was of good quality. They were very professional. The rep that came out to give the quote was personable and worked with me.

The service charge is $195 whether they do anything or not. They did something which was not what I asked them to do and I ended up doing the repair myself. Their responsiveness was not too bad, but I would absolutely not use them again. They are terrible.

I had them rebuild the eaves which were knocked off by a tree due to storm. So, I had them redo the trim and the fascia on the eaves. I even had them redo sections of shingling and while they were there, I had them rebuild a chimney box section that had some bad siding in it. I asked for 3 things when I met up with the guy from Blair Building & Remodeling. The first thing was that, I wanted him to do what he said he is going to do. I also wanted him to stick to the schedule and do when he said he was going to do. I wanted him to keep me informed in case of any deviations in the schedule. He met all the 3 needs of mine. They did a good job and in a timely fashion. I found a few things when I inspected the work and there were some little details which they fixed it up by coming back on the next day. I spent around 3500 $ for their service. I will use their services in the future as well.

It didn’t turn out as well as I hoped. I think it was too much for them to handle. There were a lot of things that I noticed that they didn’t do well so they had to go back and fix it again. I worried about a lot of things that they worked on when I wasn’t around. I was worried about the fact that if I they could do things wrong when I was around then what would they do when I wasn’t around. It took them almost 3 months to complete the job. They did the roof, gutters, windows and the sidings. I thought it would be easy to get all the things done together. The quality of work was not that good for the siding but they did finish it well. It looks nice after they have completed the work but I am concerned about what might happen later. The only thing I want them to finish is to replace the glass. The owner of the company said he would look into it but he never called back. I am not interested in doing anymore business with them.

Quoting process was very easy, no high pressure pitch. When we signed the contract and put down our deposit. One of the nice things they say they do is that once their crew starts a job, they stay until they finish, and don't bounce around from job to job. At the time, the salesman thought it would be about 2 weeks before they started. Ended up being 6 weeks. Wouldn't have bothered us much, if the stories had been a little more together. When they did finally show up to get started, the work crew (which was a third party contractor) worked very quickly, and did a very good job. More significant damage was found to the chimney than expected, but less rot elsewhere. Blair will not directly do any structural work, so the chimney damage repair was done and paid directly to the 3rd party work crew. They ended up fixing the chimney and all the rot for slightly less than we were originally guessing it would cost, which was nice. They had originally estimated removing and re-mounting the gutters, which they ended up replacing. There was also a vent in the brick portion of the house they were originally going to replace, but couldn't get a vinyl replacement that would fit. So they didn't replace the vent (~$100), but replaced the gutters (~$400), and didn't change the original quoted price. The only disappointments were with some of the final finishing at the end. On one of the water faucets, they did a real nice job of finishing it off. On the other, they just had it sticking out of a hole in the siding. After pressing them on this, and after a couple days waiting, they finally let me know that the faucet didn't stick out far enough for the molding they used on the other faucet, and they had just forgotten to seal around it, which they came back and fixed. We already had vinyl shutters that were in good shape, so we re-used them. However, instead of keeping the hidden catches that originally held the shutters up, they ran screws through from the front, which do not look good to me.

The WinCore windows look great and work perfectly. The door and storm doors are better than we hoped for. The installers were punctual, couteous, professional and highly skilled. It took a bit longer to get the custom doors from the manufacturer than we had planned on, but the wait was worth it. I would recommend this company, and would gladly use them again.

I was so pumped about hiring this company because their Angie's List scores were so phenomenal. When their quote was the cheapest of 4 I received, I was even more excited about using them. Maybe my expectations were just too high. I do want to say that the quality of their work was good. My main complaints are regarding communication and professionalism. They never scheduled a time to begin the work. They just showed up unannounced one day. The man who came out to do the estimate was very professional, but the men who actually did the work were joking how they looked like convicts and were scaring my neighbor's children. They did fine work, but I didn't appreciate their demeanor. There also seemed to be some differences between what was discussed during the initial consultation with the first man, and the work that was actually being done. There wasn't any issue, but I don't feel things were explained enough in the beginning. Cleanup could have been better.

The quote was 4 times higher than the company I was ended up going with. They were slightly higher than everyone else as well

It was great. They cleaned up after themselves very well the work looked great. Their crew was also very nice and polite. The only thing that I didn't like is they didn't come back to check the employees work.

Blair Building & Remodeling are the greatest! From the original estimate through the project's completion, they were helpful, courteous, polite, and professional in every way. As with all remodeling projects, we had unexpected problems and difficulties (mostly artificial!) with government inspectors. Throughout, BB&R patiently worked with me to ensure that my project was finished as quickly as possible without compromising one bit of quality. I recommend Blair Building & Remodeling to anyone considering having work done to their home. I'm planning more work within the next 12 months, and I will ask them to do it.

Blair did a great job on the roof. The only mix up was they left the turbine and did not install the ridge vent the first time they came out. I called Dustin (roofing contact) and he sent a crew the next day to install the ridge vent. They still didn't close out the turbine, but, the house is already cooler with the ridge vents. I would definitely use Blair again.

This is a family owned business and it shows. From the estimate, through the work, and the final details, felt like they were doing work for a valued family member rather than just another customer. Work was very reasonably priced. When more wood rot was found than expected, did not try to gouge me on the repairs. Work was done professionally, looked great, and they did not take any short cuts. When the work was done, they made sure the few final details that I wanted taken care of were done before asking for final payment. Overall experience was great! Only one minor complaint I had was that the work crew was messy (i.e. cigarette butts, small scraps left about, etc.). Given price and service though, very minor point. Would highly recommend to anyone needing this kind of work.

The crew were very prompt and polite. They really knew their stuff. The job took about two weeks and our house looks fabulous.

Put new gutters up on our home after applying new siding. The gutters went up well and the installers were very professional.

The crew worked extremely fast and the new roof looks amazing. We are very pleased.

We love the new windows and the crew were worked very fast and they were very polite and professional.

I wanted to keep them to donate or sell the old wood frame windows and asked the crew to be very careful in the removal process. Several of the old windows were broken during removal but were not discarded. The remaining old windows were left on the grass, uncovered, even though I provided the team with a large tarp to wrap/cover them completely. The tarp disappeared. A crew of 2 showed up late every day of the job, one smoked and left cigarette butts all over the yard and driveway. They pulled the plug from my deep freeze out of the wall to plug in their power cords, even though I had run an extension cord for them. Damage was done to the garage door where they banged into it and then they blamed that on my daughter. The sidelights were left in deplorable condition with labels and nail holes. Owner had to come out three weeks later and resealed windows with new caulk. An absolute disaster.

It leaked a little bit the first time it rained, but I called them and they came right out the very next day. We have not any more problems. They even painted the ceiling in the living room where the water had leaked. We got a bunch of estimates and they were excellent in terms of price. I am going to use them again when I need another roofing job done at my house.

I called around for a few estimates and Blair was the most reasonable of the three that quoted me. When they came out they were very friendly and did a great job on the roof. The only down side was that they didn't speak much English.

They were very good workers, and they did a nice, professional job. They cleaned up good and they worked hard on the steep part of the roof, and it all looks really good. They were recommended to me, and I would recommend them as well.

The company was responsive when it came to repairing and things that needed fixing. When it came to the installation, the only thing that they did wrong was set the old windows on my grass, and it fried the grass. They were not careful of my shrubbery and yard. Besides that though, the actual work they did was wonderful. I think they just need to be a little more cautious where they lay the old windows.

Blair Building & Remodeling, were very courteous when they were roofing our house. They didn't make a big mess, and they cleaned up after themselves. Blair Building & Remodeling crew were professional while they worked, they were clean as far as being clean for roofing.

Their service and response time were great. They did a spectacular job on the roof and windows. They had a superb crew that seemed very experienced and they cleaned up great when they were done. I didn't have any nails in my yard and I didn't have any leaks or drafts around my windows.
