BEST INSPECTIONS INC

Bobby Monk, the owner and home inspector, performed a home inspection for me in Hoover, AL on a 1960's home.  As soon as I moved into the house, there were major plumbing issues.  The water in the shower drained very slowly the first time I took a shower.  And, then when I flushed the toilet, it overflowed.  I had to hire plumbers to come out and unstop the pipes under the house.  They were full of roots.  They replaced the cast iron pipes with PVC.  It cost me $1900.00.  But, the worst part was that the house had no clean-out so the home warranty could not be used!  Mr. Monk should have caught this.  At the very least, he should have noted that there was no clean-out.

He is very professional and always on time but I'm not happy with their service.

He did a great job for a great price.  Very knowledgable.  He has done over 7,000 inspections.  Nice guy....would recommend.

Bobby was on time and very polite during his stay. I followed him around to ask questions and point out things I had seen previously. All questions were answered and all answers explained in detail. I thought he did a great job and would recommend him to anyone as an inspector, his credentials far exceeded my expectations. I was given a full copy of the report and an email containing the same. Price was very reasonable considering the size of house. I have called him twice since the job just to ask questions. Thanks again!

I was very impressed with Bobby Monk. He was extremely thorough and took the time to explain what he was seeing, good and bad, and had extensive knowledge of each appliance, fixture, material. I would highly recommend him, and would use his service again on a future purchase.

Bobby was responsive, on time, and had an exhaustive knowledge of building and inspection. He helped the state of Alabama adopt a code of ethics for home inspection and is a licensed contractor. He really knows his stuff, which is important for a first-time homebuyer. He gave me lots of background and ''color commentary'' on how the house was built and made me feel very comfortable about asking questions.
