I had a flat on a brand new tire. They wouldn't do anything, so I had to buy a new spare tire. The warranty would not cover it.

I wouldn't recommend them. The warranty didn't cover a flat tire on a brand new tire. I wouldn't buy anything from them. I haven't had any trouble with it since the flat tire.

I went in for a maintenance oil change, tire rotation and my brake lights had stopped working. I felt like I really got the run around. The service consultant called me several times about the noise in my front end (I didn't have a noise in my front end) said my tail light housing had completely melted (the tail lights worked fine, the brake lights did not work) and then told me my radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced (an almost 1K repair.) My radiator was not leaking when I took it in there. I park in my garage and did not have any leaking fluids. I refused the repair from them and brought the vehicle home. Now it leaks out all over my garage floor. They also did not put the rear inside panel back in place on my SUV from the headlight repair. That was just sloppy and now I have to take off and make another trip over there.

My car wouldn't start. I had it jumped and drove it to Benchmark, in case it was a problem that was covered by my warranty. But before I drove to Benchmark, I called and made sure that they had availability to work on my car today. I spoke with a woman (didn't get her name) and she said to come right in, that there was only 1 more person in front of me.

I drove right to Benchmark (about 7 miles away).  When I got there, no one remembered that they agreed to take my car. I said I spoke with a female representative. Amanda came to help me, but said that she hadn't talked to me, and she made me feel like I had made the whole phone conversation up. I told her, no, I was told to bring the car in, and that they could look at it. She said, okay, we will fit you in, but you will have to wait. I said fine, okay... I think it is the battery that is dead, and asked, is this under my warranty? She looked it up, and said that it wasn't... and if it was the battery, it probably was going to be about $250 to replace.

I said, fine, my mom is going to stay with the car and wait. I had to go to work. About an hour later, they called and said they had checked out the car, and indeed, it was the battery (only the battery) that needed to be replaced. They quoted me at $390 to replace the battery. I said that that seems like a lot, and I was told that the reason it was so high was because of the labor cost-- the battery is located under the passenger front seat, and they would have to take the entire passenger seat out to replace the battery. I said, ok, but I am going to call around to see if I can find another place that will do it for cheaper.

So I found a place (Battery Sales and Service) that quoted me for $115. I called back Benchmark Jeep and told Amanda that I had found another place, if they could start my car, my mom would pick it up. She then told me that if I decided not to have the battery replaced, I was going to be charged $115, "for the technician's time"! I was outraged and angry. I had not been warned about a consultation cost. I felt like I was being swindled.

I refused to pay the $115 and told them my mom would pick up the car. They did not charge me for the bogus $115 cost. This is not the first time that we have brought the Jeep in for maintenance and had poor customer service, but this WILL be the last. I filled out Jeep's survey that was emailed to us a couple of days after, and rated them poorly, listing the specifics above, and have not (yet) received so much as an email or call in response (almost 1 month later). Oh, and I went to get it replaced at Battery Sales and Service in Birmingham, and they did it for their quoted price - $115 (battery + labor), even though the battery was located under the passenger seat.

The service was part of our package deal when we bought the car. They got us in quickly and the car was done in two or three hours. The receptionist person was very rude to my husband, so that was the only thing.

My last visit to the service department was disappointing. I called on a Friday about an A/C issue with my truck and the person in the service department said it was OK to bring it in on Monday. Got there Monday and was told that it will be a week or better before they could get to my truck. My experience with Benchmark service department has been hit or miss. I have gotten some great service there and some less the great service.

I purchased a slightly used vehicle (dealer driven) and they offerred to detail the car upon my finding some minor dirt in the interior. When I took the car in for the detail — they cleaned it thoroughly, provided a free car for my use and gave me floor mats for the vehicle.
I would highly recommend talking with John if you are in search of a new or used car. Their dealership was extremely professional.

I have been with Benchmark Chrysler since the year 1995, and I have always been a very satisfied customer. I cannot believe how good of a job they can do and at such reasonable prices as well. I have never ever felt as if they were trying to rip anything or me off. After repairing the transmission, my car ran as good as new, and I was very thankful for that because I just love my car like you wouldn't believe.

Benchmark Jeep did a great job repairing my leaky vacuum pump. They were very quick to get me in and it only took them a couple days to repair the problem. This was the first time I used them so it was important to me they did a good job, and they did. Their prices are a little bit higher than other companies, but they are also much better than other dealerships, so you get what you pay for.
