He came twice, we were moving toward installing ventless gas logs and through recommendations  from Absco I used his services. I don't know how his prices compares to others.

They were at my home for no more than 20 minutes to clean the chimney and do a complete inspection. I was left with a written report of the condition of my 60 year old fireplace with everything checked as satisfactory. While stacking wood in the firebox later that day, I noticed a wide and long crack in the bottom of the firebox along with several missing mortar areas in the firebox walls. I don't know much about fireplaces, but I knew this could not be safe. I called another company to come inspect everything without telling them I had already had it inspected. The second company was quick to say the fireplace should not be used until the cracks were repaired as fire could occur. The cracks were very obvious, but were never mentioned by either of the two people from B.J.'s; they just took my check and left.
