I had been a customer of Complete Appliance Protection, Inc., for only two months when my refrigerator stopped cooling properly. I called the company and they were very courteous and responsive. They quickly gave me names and numbers of two repair companies close to me and I called the closest, Appliance Connection. . They also were courteous and helpful and set up an appointment for the next day. Matt, the service technician, ran a few minutes late on a job across town but called and said he would be about 30 minutes late. When he arrived he was courteous and professional and went right to work. He checked the compressor, cleaned the condenser, and checked other things. He concluded that no repairs or replacements were necessary and gave us instructions for maximum cooling of the refrigerator and freezer sections. Prompt, reliable service and no problems since. Complete Appliance Protection handled the entire cost.

They called me back within 30 minutes. The receptionist knew exactly what I was talking about and got back to me. She told me they could get the part and it would Friday when they could get out. I will not be here. They tried to help me, they did their very best. I appreciate what they did for me.

My refrigerator stopped working when we were out of town. I located this company by going to the Maytag website and clicking on Support. There were a number of companies in Birmingham listed and I'm not really sure why I chose this one. The phone was answered by a very nice, pleasant lady and they set up an appointment for me as quickly as possible when we got home.
I was told the repairman would call me on his way, which he did. He immediately diagnosed the problem and repaired my refrigerator. I had removed all of the shelves and drawers to clean them and I could not figure out how to get some of them back in! I asked him if he would assist with that and he did. He was very pleasant and professional. I had anticipated more hassle and expense and was very relieved because it was not. I would definitely call them again.

It went great.. Repairman showed up when he said he would. He was very knowledgeable and knew what the problem was. The repair took less than 30 minutes. I would surely use this company again.

I used this company for 2 repairs in a about a month's time. I had the same technician both times. First, he came to repair the water dispenser on my refrigerator. It was repaired relatively easily except it took a week to get the parts. Also, the technician left water on my kitchen floor, and left one of my food drawers out on my kitchen counter. The second time I used this company is the main reason for my review. I called because my washer kept giving me an error message and wouldn't start. The company came out and said I had a faulty thermostat in my heat box. Once again, it took about 10 days to get the part and to get it repaired. I used the washer a time or two before I got the same error message as before. I called the company again. The technician came and realized that it was a different thermostat in the washer that wasn't working correctly instead of the one he actually fixed. It took another 10 days or so to get this problem fixed. Both times the technician came, water was left on my wood floor. Also, I have permanent scratches where he pulled out my washer and didn't put anything under it. I was without my washer for about a month where I had to gat clothes, etc. wahed somewhere else. The first repair was a little irritating but not terrible which was why I called them for the second. The LG website suggested this company for our area. After the second experience, I won't be calling them again. I spent about $500 with them in about 2 months and I was very unhappy with their service.

It went extremely well. The dishwasher needed a minor adjustment and was working again within ten minutes of his arrival. He was careful with our wood floors. This was my best experience with a service call. The price was very reasonable too.

Repair of dishwasher that would not drain or fill. Tech came out and vacuumed out the tray stating the problem was back flow from the pipe and if it happened again, to call a plumber. Problem reoccurred 36 hours later. Plumber called but found no issue with pipes, so 2nd appointment made. Tech then reported problem with a seal would come back the next morning. Called and confirmed the appointment the next morning. Late that afternoon, after no word from the tech, called back company. No record of my appointment was found. After being placed on hold, I was told that a part had to be ordered and it would be 3 to 5 days. Two service calls, one plumber call, four missed chunks at work and a dishwasher that is still broken. That says it all!

I called Appliance Connection based on the positive reports I had read on Angie's list and was not disappointed. I called on Monday 1/3 and they were willing to send out a tech the next day but because of my schedule I opted next Monday 1/10(It's my second fridge). Well, that Monday Birmingham was shut down because of snow but the first thing Tuesday morning (715) I received a call from the technician (I think his name was Rusty) to let me know what time he would be here to do the repair. Since my dad was coming over to let the tech in I requested that he call 15-20 min prior to his arrival to give my dad a head's up. As requested he called then arrived around 9am as promised. According to my dad based he knew exactly what the problem was and had my fridge working in no time. I was pleased with the service and felt that the employees I interacted with were pleasant to deal with and conducted themselves in a professional manner. I hope I don't need their services for a long time but I will be calling them should/when I need any work on my other appliances.

Excellent. He had to return to warehouse for the motor, but returned a couple of hours later, quickly fixed it. Worked efficiently and neatly, cleaning up behind himself.

I left a voice message at the business number, and I got a return call the same day. My appointment was the next day. Service man was on time, pleasant, cleaned up. I've waited to long to write this to remember every detail, but it was a pleasant, positive experience from start to finish.

My only quibble with the service is that there is no timeframe (not even a ballpark) just a promise to get you done that day. Well, I basically had to stay close to home all day, until the technician called me around 3:30. It would be nice if you could just be given a morning (between 7-12) or afternoon (12-5) timeslot, so you could know when it was OK to not be available.

I called this company to repair my dryer and made an appointment for the next day. They could not give me a window of time for the serviceman to arrive and told me to call them the following morning for an estimated time of arrival. I thought this was strange and was accustomed to the company calling the client rather than the other way around. I called the next morning and was given a window from 1-3 pm. I called 3 pm and again at 4:30 pm and neither of the representatives could give me an estimate of when the technician would arrive nor offered to call him for an estimate. I canceled the appointment and will do business with another company I found this company to lack in punctuality and professionalism and I will not seek to use their services in the future.

I got their name from Angie's List. The work turned out good. They came out more than once because they had to order parts. They came out here three times. They told me when they would be here and they were always here when they said they would be here. I didn't really call anybody else and to me they had done a lot of work and replaced a lot of parts. I definitely would use them in the future.

Appliance Connection was there the next day to assess the problem and order the thermostat. Within a day or two he was back to replace the part. What impressed us most was the courtesy and care of the service rep. Of course, he was friendly, but my wife was really impressed that he put shoe covers on his feet when he entered our house on a rainy day. Very impressive company, and although the price was a littler higher than I would have thought to replace a thermostat, I would certainly use them again.

Found the contact information from Angie's List for several appliance repair services, a couple did not have the equipment to perform the diagnostics on our particular machine. One company charged a mileage fee in addition to the diagnostic fee because we were not located within their service zone. Appliance Connection gave us a quote for the diagnostics, indicated that fee would be deducted from the repair fee if we decided to have the repairs make; we went with Applicance Connection. We were told that we could find out a 3 hour window the day of the service call so we did not have to wait around all day. Had a call at 8:30am the day of the service saying that the tech was on the way and would give us a call 30 minutes out. We got the tech's call as promised, he arrived and was able to run diagnostics, pinpoint the problem, determine that unfortunately the needed part would have to be ordered, they had used the last in stock part on another call, the part would be in within 4-5 days and he could come back out and perform the repair as soon as it came in. The tech was very good, he was in and out on the diagnostics within an hour. We received a call a couple of days later, they had received the part and scheduled a return trip to perform the repairs. The same process of knowing the 3 hour window and calls ahead of time while in route worked very well. The tech arrived the day of the service call, again was able to get in, clean up the inside areas of the dryer as well as the vent, replace the sensor and had everything back up and running within an hour. We found the technician very knowledgeable, personable and professional. He kept us informed at each step as he performed the repairs and was interested in any issues that we may have had. If we have major appliance problems in the future, we will definately be calling Appliance Connection again.

The original call was well handled. The lady on the other end was very sweet and said she was going to try and work us in because of the special circumstances with a new machine that didn't work. . So we stayed home the day before Thanksgiving waiting for the repair man. (The company claims they tried to call us 5 times. Funny, neither my wife nor I remember a single call from them. I can't explain that discrepancy.) When no one showed, later in the afternoon, I called and was told that the repair man's assistant had to take his child to the hospital or doctor. OK. I can relate (except I had just heard the same excuse 15 minutes earlier from another company who was supposed to deliver a piano that same day. A lot sick kids on the day before Thanksgiving, hunh?!) So let's give them the benefit of the doubt. The nice lady said the next regular service day would be Tuesday, Dec. 2. I explained we had dental appointments in the city (actually about a mile from their office; hence my comment about it not being a long way away if we routinely drive that far by choice for medical care.) I told them several times that we had to have the call made early enough for us to leave for our appointment. I even had the dental appointment pushed back an hour to allow more time for this. At noon, no repair person. I call again. This time the conversation gets more animated and heated. I am told I'm next on the list and that the previous call ran longer than planned. OK. That happens in the repair business all the time. I say we've got to get ready to leave and that we're not going to be home much longer. To which the lady replies "We'll have the service man call you as he leaves his current job." I wonder out loud "What good that will do?" No reply on the other end, call ends. So we're almost at our dentist office when we talk to the repair people again. Now they're ready to see us. My wife, who can be just as acerbic as I, really gets into it with the folks at Appliance Connection. She wants to know how long she's supposed to function in a new home with all the confusion that entails and no washing machine? Simple answer,"It'll be next Tuesday." My wife makes another call after the dentist visit and we get the same response. So I call back this morning and long and short of it is, we're going to have to wait until next week. I ask if the repair man will bring a new drum since the professional installers who put the machine in place for me identified a leak in the drum from where the shipping bolts were missing during the delivery from HHGregg. Oh no, they can't bring a part with them, that'll be another week if that is indeed the problem. If I wasn't being held hostage by the lack of choice in companies that Bosch authorizes to service their equipment under the service contract I purchased, I'd give my business to the local repair place that has served me well for 11 years.
