Andy's Landscape Service

We had a large tree taken out and the retaining wall was knocked down in the process.  The crew came and dug out what was left of the old wall including cutting out some concrete,  removed the stump where the new wall would go, placed a drain behind the wall, built the new straight wall, backfilled and placed new top soil on top,  and filled small area with concrete to bring drive way up to wall.  They did a great job. They started a week later than we had originally scheduled and it took a little bit longer than we thought it would but it looks very nice.  We were hoping to use reclaimed brick but that was not feasible, the new brick still looks very nice and fits well with the brick house.  I would highly recommend. I have a separate quote for them to come out to the house later and landscape that side of the house.

Hired to help clean up my yard.  While the work was done generally well, the work was delayed due to lackluster responsiveness to requests for an estimate and scheduling the work.
 However, the folks at Andy's Nursery are great all around, helpful, knowledgable, and stocked with superior quality plants.

I am writing this review way after the fact but as I recall Andy's was first rate. They were professional, clean, punctual, and did what they said they would do.

Generally a good team; can be hard to get a hold of to nail down specifics and times but overall they did a reasonable job for a fair price. If I have future landscaping needs, I would consider them again.

Called them for the first time after visiting the nursery. Was not aware they did landscaping and someone there told me they did. I emailed them and they called the next day - provided a quote through email and scheduled the visit. Estimated just about right on the amount of straw, needed a little more, but nothing major. Put it down quickly and it looked really nice.

The crew was friendly, and I liked that they had an English speaking
crew boss there with the Hispanic workers. They worked hard and pretty
tirelessly and it looked pretty darn good when they finished.
My complaint is that I had to constantly check up on them to make sure
they did what I wanted them to do correctly. I did not feel that I could
leave them to do it on their own. There were numerous instances where I
went out to do a spot check and had to ask them to redo a portion or
point out a mistake. They were always friendly and positive about making
me happy, but I wasn't happy about that part of it. As of right now, there is still one mistake
to be corrected and I have not received a final invoice, so I really am not sure how this is
going to end.
Overall, I was pleased with the final outcome, but I would be ready to inspect periodically while they work and include that in their cost estimate.

Andy's Landscape Service are dependable, do great work, and I really like everybody that works there. They're not cheap but I've never had a problem of any kind. I would recommend Andy's Landscape Service highly. I enjoy having them come out because I don't have to be concerned about anything.

Andy's crew is always on time, they do a good job and will stop to talk to you if you have something that needs extra attention and their response to messages is almost immediate. I really like all of them. They are polite young men.

We were somewhat familiar with the sizes and types of materials as we had talked to other companies. Andy's Landscape Service made good suggestions, which we followed. We have been very pleased.

I don't have any complaints. They gave the estimate, and performs the work in a timely fashion.

As always, the work was excellent.

Andy was very responsive - returned my call within 24 hours. He was very knowledgable about lawn grasses and plants. He listened to my requests and offerred expert advice,. His crew arrived on time and completed the project to my complete satisfaction. Andy personally followed up on the quality of the work, and when asked, provided several suggestions for the next project.

I use them since I am familiar with them. They are a family operated and great company. They have a fruit and vegetable stand which I love and use more frequently. They are really good and helpful people. Their price is not high.

showed up and did their work. Did not have enough bales of pine straw. Left as is. missed a few small areas that I would have like done but didn't realize until they were gone. Make sure you tell them what to remove and what to leave. Lost one bush they thought was a weed. Otherwise looked great.

The experience was pretty good. They did a good job. They came when they said they would. At the end of the project there was a little confusion and they had to come back out and fix a few things. The person who was running the job had not followed up on it to check and see that everything had been done. It's fixed so now it's fine.

There was some delay due to very poor weather conditions (rain and freezing rain), but the project was completed as soon as the weather improved.

The pine straw was good and it did not have any weeds in it and was an acceptable price. It was fine for what it was.

Overall it was decent work but kind of pricey for what I received. The grass has done reasonably well and it's a year out. (I watered it religiously.) I thought that the rest of the work was done in a perfunctory manner. We had agreed to clear a section of my yard for a garden. The initial price included application of soil if needed. They didn't apply the soil and when I went to plant a month later found a foot of clay and had to apply it myself. I didn't check behind them - I am real busy and just took their word for it. The ground looked OK from a superficial perspective. I suppose that I could have called them (even a month out) and complained and insisted that they take care of this. I bet they would have. But I didn't want the hassle, so I dealt with it myself. I just hate when I have to check behind people. It makes me feel like they are trying to get away with doing shoddy work. In this case they got away with it, but I wouldn't hire them again, or if I did, I would be prepared to supervise and complain and I just don't want to deal with that. Having said that, I feel that they are somewhat better than average when it comes to small jobs (and I have no experience with bigger jobs).

After I made an appointment for an estimate, one of their representatives met me at the property to discuss the work to be performed. Two days after the meeting, he emailed an estimate of the time/cost. I reviewed the estimate and replied, telling him to proceed. The work crew was scheduled to arrive on the following Monday. They arrived on time and spent most of the day there. (The amount of work to be done certainly required this.) When I saw the results of their work, I was very pleased; all the work requested had been done and the whole area looked much better. When I received their bill for the work, it was actually about 5% less than the estimated cost. Based on my experience, I plan to set up a monthly maintenance schedule with this company.
