Buyer Beware! We had our crawlspace remediated in 2020. At that time we were pleased with the service. There were no repairs needed at the time of the 2020 treatment. Another company had also inspected our crawlspace and found no repairs needed at that time but quoted $16K to remediate and install barrier. We contracted 5 Star to remediate the mold, remove old barrier and install new 10 mil vapor barrier and treat joists and subfloor with Tim-bor Professional for $3500. As of this week, just 5 years from the 2020 treatment, an inspection of our crawl space has found fungus actively growing and severe damage to 9 joists, as well as the central support beam. I was told today that their work is only warranted for one year. Our crawlspace repair and 2nd remediation with a new vapor barrier was quoted today for $13K. Buyers be aware that this treatment is probably only good for a couple of years. Cheaper is not always better.

William was very helpful with installing our crawl space vapor barrier and installing a dehumidifier. He was very patient and thorough with answering all my questions. His prices where very fair. I would hire him again.

I am a generally healthy person, and never had any sorts of allergies, but we moved into a new house about 2 years ago and I started getting sinus infections every month. I was well for two weeks, then sick for two weeks, then did a round of antibiotics, and then the process repeated. Over and over again. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. We tried everything we could think of, allergy testing, dust mite treatment, air duct cleaning, allergy medicine, we got rid of almost every cloth piece of furniture we owned. It was insane. We were getting desperate and almost to the point we were going to sell the house. Then we hired a mold specialist and he found mold in our ducts. He recommended 5 Star Services, and they replaced the ducts, cleaned our HVAC system, and did an anti fungal fogging treatment of the whole house. Overnight, my sinus infections stopped. I was like a new man. Words can't express how thankful I am to have this whole mess behind me. 5 Star Services did a very good job at a good price. I would recommend them.

They showed up on time and finished the job on time.

The cost was exceptional compared to the 1st estimate and covered everything plus another room that the other company didn t even check. If 5 star hadn t of checked it it would have been very bad!

Very professional business

My problem was 2 1/2 feet of water in the basement. They came immediately and got the job done in about half a work day.

William explained results of tests and options and actually said treatment wasn't necessary. However I chose to proceed as a means of elimination for an allergy problem I am experiencing. It was scheduled within days.

Small, local company. I liked that William came to give the estimate on the small area of mold in our basement and then returned to do the work. Different than a large company that would send one to do the estimate and another to do the work. He worked quickly and thoroughly. Very friendly and professional. Knowledgeable and communicates this without being condescending.

We are very happy with our carpets. Had them stretched and cleaned and repair of a stain that was not able to be removed by cleaning.
