TA Gentry Roofing and Construction

Woe unto you if you ever have the misfortune of dealing with this guy.  An absolute clown by all accounts.  Originally contacted by the seller of a home that my wife and I were purchasing.  He took advantage of the girl outright and performed less than half of the services listed and billed for on the invoice.  When called out on it he was dodging phone calls and always late or no-show for scheduled follow-up work (time was always of his choosing, yet he still would not show up).  Wanted the seller to go with another contractor when we didn't hear from him for days but she insisted we give him an opportunity to finish and make good.   The bit of work that actually was finished was shoddy and needed to be re done completely.    Should have known better when he showed up to work on fascia, soffit and gutters with nothing more than a step-ladder.   Luckily seller's father works with contractors in his business and was able to have another group re-do the work properly before we moved in.

The fascia board was installed wrong.  I only realized after the contractor left that the fascia board was cut short and installed unlevel.  The fascia board is secure but I had to caulk and paint it in order for it too look acceptable.  I am not sure about all the roofing repairs that the contractor performed because it has not rained yet.  I was not happy with this contractor because of the shotty workmanship.  One of the reasons I chose this contractor was because of his supposed 35 years experience and the guarantee he wrote on his estimate.
