1/31/14 (Response to the owner's comment) - Yes, the sink issue was fixed the day of the install, as I stated earlier. As for the other concerns, the owner didn't call about them until AFTER the review was posted online, even though I'd emailed her on Jan. 8 with pictures of the floor, and it wasn't several attempts, it was one to my husband and one email to me, where she claimed she didn't have my # to call me, so I emailed my # to her. The side of the granite that was ground crooked is on a sidewall, not the back wall where the tile back splash goes, and was done after the slab was brought in, not in their fab shop. As for the reason being because the wall isn't straight, I put a square on it..it's straight. As for the hardwood floors being covered, they were covered by me, not the installers. I'm not sure how the owner knows the installers were careful when she wasn't there. We didn't appreciate the fact that she placed pictures on this web site of our house without our permission, and not even sure why she did, because we live there, we know what it looks like. In my opinion, it's not great business practice to not ask an owner's permission to use pictures of their home.
"I am sorry you are unhappy. Please see the beautiful pictures of your granite and sink in the photo gallery. I have made several attempts by phone and email to speak with you and David to discuss your concerns. Concern #1The sink issue I spoke with David the day of install and the installers returned promptly to clean. Concern #2 Sometimes there is space between the granite and wall. Most of the time it is due to a wall not being straight. Either a 4" granite backsplash or tile backsplash is installed for a finished look. When selections were made it was noted you would be installing a tile backsplash. Concern #3 The hardwood floors were covered and the installers attempted to be very careful. I am willing to schedule an appointment to look at the floor. Being a small business owner I, as well as my staff, take pride in all projects small and large!"
They ensured that the construction mess was kept to a minimum, each crew cleaning up after themselves as the work progressed. The dust and debris was never an issue. I used Rustic River previously for kitchen tile/granite work. This time I asked them to supervise and contract for the entire remodeling effort. Glenn and Jill were diligent and worked consistently to ensure that work progressed smoothly and as promised.
The subs were all of the highest caliber and we could not be more pleased with the final product.
