We have been very impressed with our experience with Roof Tech. We definitely were not the easiest clients as we had a complicated project and were out of state trying to coordinate things for the first half of the time but Mike and Toni did an amazing job. We were also specifically impressed with the kindness and respectfulness of all their crews that came into our home. We did have some minor miscommunications at times but communication is hard and those issues were likely just as much (or more) our fault than theirs. They were always prompt to resolve any minor miscommunications and overall we were incredibly happy with the end result.

In early March of 2023 I received wind damage to my roof and chimney. I selected Roof Tech Solutions to perform the work and was quoted $17,640 for the roofing repair and $2250 for the chimney repair. I was generally pleased with the roof and the speed the job was completed. Had it been my only interaction with Roof Tech, I would be leaving a 4 or 5 star review. Unfortunately, it is everything that happened (and didnâ t happen) with my chimney repair that forces me to leave a negative review. I would recommend that you avoid this contractor based on my experience. I signed two contracts and made two payments for half up front on March 24. The roof was completed on March 31 and I wrote a check for the other half of the roofing repair. It was not until May 25 that the contractor arrived to do the repair on my chimney. The sales representative (initials B.B.) told me that they needed an additional $400 dollars as their subcontractor had charged more than anticipated and that my chimney crown still needed to be repaired but he needed a different subcontractor for that. I inquired about the cost and was told â a couple hundredâ and this was repeated to me numerous times. Between May 25 and Aug 14 I made numerous phone calls and sent multiple txt messages and each time I was told that the subcontractor was completely backed up but that it was expected to be finished soon. On Aug 14 I called B.B. and expressed my frustration. He stated â if you feel like you need to hire someone else to finish the job, I completely understandâ . At this point, I called the owner, Mr. Mike Raby and explained my displeasure with the time it was taking to finish my repair. He said he would get to the bottom of it and call me back. Two days later B.B. called and said he had a different subcontractor lined up and that the work was going to be an additional $1750. I told Mr. Raby that it was unacceptable that after almost 5 months of waiting and being told that it would only be a couple hundred more, they wanted almost double the original quote. He stated that B.B. was under the impression that I had an electric fireplace insert and that is why I was told â just a couple hundredâ more. I told Mr. Raby this was untrue and he stated â B.B. is as honest as the day is long, but you are my customer so Iâ ll give you the benefit of the doubt and we will assume you are telling the truthâ . He asked numerous times how much State Farm had paid me for the chimney crown on my insurance claim, and implied that I was trying to commit insurance fraud. At the end of this call, Mr. Raby had given me his word that he would make me a priority, personally come to my home and assess the situation and have the job completed quickly. Being concerned about the additional cost and Mr. Rabyâ s implication, I contacted State Farm and asked them about the damage to the chimney crown. State Farm said that based on photo evidence the damage was done by Mr. Rabyâ s crew and that it would not be covered. After a week of no contact from Mr. Raby, I gave up and hired another contractor to finish the job. After 15 days from my last contact with Mr. Raby I found a chimney crown sitting in my carport. It was of dubious quality and was dented and deformed. I was surprised to discover that B.B. was the person who had dropped it off. I called Mr. Raby to find out exactly what was going on after not hearing from him for 15 days. I explained to him that State Farm said that his crew had actually caused the damage to the chimney crown. He did not deny this and asked how old the original chimney crown was. I also explained that I thought Roof Tech had abandoned the job and I hired another company to finish the work. Mr. Raby screamed at me and used profanity. I wonâ t go into details, but suffice it to say, I hope no one else has to suffer through this experience.

I had wind & rain damage related to the recent hurricane resulting in needing a new roof. Roof Tech Solution was the best decision I could have made. They came out immediately and secured the roof to prevent anymore interior damage, and started and finished a new roof as soon as the rain stopped, 3 days to complete. The workers were very friendly and professional. Mike & Toni Raby, owners were fabulous! I now consider them my friends, I highly recommend this company. Quality work for a reasonable price.

Although I did not find Roof Tech Solutions through Home Advisor, I did find them via a professional referral. His company has done a great job repairing major damage to my house caused by a tree. They have been very responsive to any concerns I have had and the new framing, vinyl, and roofing look great. I will continue using Mike R. and his company for several future projects. Highly recommend.

Mr Raby sent 2 men to install the wood flooring. I got the impression was just trained by his brother. The first man did a fairly good job in the den but the brother seemed to be hurrying to get the bedroom done. There are numerous boards that squeak and move up and down. He said it was because of the heavy dresser, but the weight of the dresser is not in the middle but is supported on each end. He came out one time to check it and said to "give it time." I wrote him the second check on 7/10--it is now 8/19 and no change. He agreed to check it again but did not show up as promised. I wish I had let the lumber store install it. Sonjia Anderson, Madison, AL Added 9/29. Our floor still squeeks as we walk across it. I was told by Mr. Raby in our last phone conversation: I don't ever want to talk to you again. That was when I asked him if his floor was like mine would he consider it acceptable and he reluctantly said no. They have repaired two boards, one in each room. Guess we'll have to fix it ourselves at our additional cost..P.S. We were told by the lumber company where we purchased the wood that because they did not put down the vapor barrior we purchased it voided our warranty. Our home is only 3 years old.

The owner Mike put his team of Dwane and Stuart on our project and they were a great father/son team. Super nice, conscientious, excellent at their job as well as very knowledgeable about any home improvement question I asked them. The paint looks amazing and they went above and beyond during this project that lasted about a week. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They even took care of taking a broken bedroom door that I couldn't lift to the lumber place and brought me back a new one, which wasn't part of the scope of work. They always had a smile on their face from the first thing in the morning to the end of some very long days. Definitely hire them for any project, inside or out, that you have. It's said that it's hard to find a good contractor but I can tell you I found a great one (well, three).

Mike and his team did an AMAZING job hanging holiday lighting for us and it looks fantastic!!! They worked in the freezing cold without complaint, were on time, stayed until the job was complete, and always had a smile on their face. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone!!!

Mike Raby and his employees were very professional and meticulous in their work from viewing/estimating the project to completion. I appreciate the way Mike listened to what I wanted, his feedback and recommendation's for covering seams in the wall. The end product is beautiful. And the added touch of air freshener to the paint, made the experience very nice. No heavy, overpowering paint fumes. Just a clean pleasant smell in my home. The job was completed in a timely manner and the crew was very meticulous in their clean up. ANYONE who hires Roof Tech for their project will be pleasantly happy. Women, such as myself, will find Mike to be very considerate, not overbearing, and very thoughtful when recommending ideas and listening to what you want. Of all the contractors I've hired, my experience with Roof Tech and Mike Raby is by far, the best I have had and I will definitely hire him for future renovations and work.
