PLATINUM MORTGAGE

Platinum mortgage provided services and document requests to refinance my current 30 year mortgage to a new 30 year mortgage at a significantly lower rate.  Platinum mortgage requested a full set of documentation upfront and were professional.  After that initial meeting, calls for further information were subsequently made.  I understand the new regulations require more informaiton however Platinum Mortgage routinely stated they don't know why the underwriter needs it and I just need to run it over. 
For their part, Platinum failed to provide me with timely information unless I called and stayed on top of them.  I had to stay on top of them for my copy of the appraisal, which they were required to send and to get the closing date and location.  The day before the closing I get a call from another data fact checking company, not Platinum, for clarification.  I called Platinum and was told to provide it or the closing won't happen.
The day of the closing Platinum did not bother to show up.  We signed all documentation per the lawyers instructions only to be called three hours later that Platinum and its investor would not accept them because I signed my married name, less the "AKA" single name, even though a signed affidavit showed the name change from two years previous. 
The documents were signed per the lawyer's instructions.
I do not recommend Platinum to anyone and I will take the opportunity to discourage any other people from using them in the future.
