Jeff answered my initial request immediately and followed through to complete the project ahead of schedule. The team was very professional and the quality of their work was wonderful. I would hire them again for any outdoor project.

Instant response; Mr. Glaze came to assess the work needed within 2 business days and quoted reasonable rates for both jobs the following day. Work started within 4 days after acceptance and choosing the materials. The driveway and the porch look great. We are very happy with his work, his ethics and promptness.

Jeff helped design the patio and pergola. He made several suggestions we hadn't thought of that really enhanced the project. Jeff and his crew were very professional and efficient in completing the project. Some of the boards in the pergola torqued severely shortly after the project was finished. Jeff replaced them and added additional stabilizing members. We were thrilled with the result and have had nothing but compliments from those who have seen it.

Price was quoted at $4500 for 180 retaining wall blocks (including blocks and labor). They figured on how many blocks were needed, I didn't decide on that number... but it was used to decide how much I was charged. There was a long delay (around 6 months) until we could go ahead with hiring him and completing the project, and in that time we had to pull down another retaining wall for a garage project. Therefore, we had the retaining wall block to build the wall, so only needed labor, gravel, and top block. I assumed the price would be reduced and didn't ask for a re-quote. I was stupid, and I paid the price for it. I was charged $4000 for the project, even though only 114 blocks were required. I have used them before, and the price was $20/block. At that price, there was a difference of $1320, and that was not including them not having to provide the block. After complaining, he refunded $400.... so I paid $3600 while providing the block and getting 36% less wall than was quoted. He tried to blame having to rent a machine, which I didn't ask for (they normally use their own, theirs must have been broken), and which theirs would have been perfectly fine. He made up prices to justify the rest of it but it's obvious it was made up. As for quality, they look nice but on both my walls there were problems. They do not fill the walls all the way up with gravel, which creates problems with dirt going through the walls and with animals & snakes living in the walls. I've had several people that build retaining walls at my property and every one was shocked that they didn't fill them completely. I have also had to dig behind the blocks and found that the fill used was not only gravel but other stepping stones and wall block. I have one more retaining wall that needs to be built on my property, but there is no way I will use them again or recommend them. I got ripped off but it won't happen again.

Jeff was awesome!  He was very prompt in getting back with us and answering any questions we had.  He came when he said he was going to come and when something came up-he was quick to let us know.  Very clean too.  They cleaned up afterwards. The patio looks great and we are extremely happy.  We bought the Paver Big Deal and also a retaining wall.  Thanks for a great job-well done!

Had to come back to fix severed lawn watering line, but completed that ASAP and no further issues.

Jeff from Outdoor Elegance came to the house to survey the back yard layout, suggested some options, sketched a hardscape design, and generated a quote to do the job. He did a great job of explaining the process and adapted the design to include a few features that we wanted in the layout, essentially leaving space for landscaping work that we would do after the hardscape patio installation. Jeff and his 4-man crew came out for four partial days (due mainly to equipment in shop issues), rescheduling to fit my schedule after a previous contractor who was installing a prerequisite house fix came in a month late. They did the job very professionally, worked very well together and seemed to have a great time doing hard work.
Even though I insisted on several nitpicky details in the final product late in the building cycle, they finished the job to include those finishing touches, cleaned up the jobsite, and delivered a great-looking outdoor room and steps/landing into the house. We are very happy with the work they did and the way they worked together, and we highly recommend them to others considering a backyard transformation. Jeff answered all my technical questions about the materials and techniques used and I learned a lot about hardscape construction through watching the process.

I called Outdoor Elegance people. They made suggestions with choices and reasonable additional lighting placed in the front yard.
They ordered the lights and had them in place within a few days. My yard guy cut one of the underground wires several weeks later that served half of the yard. I called the lighting crew who tells me that happens from time to time & now to worry. A few days later I came home after dark and all the lights were repaired & back on. No extra charge.
These are very professional husband and wife who make a great team and are an excellent addition to the Huntsville area.

Job Detail explanation -  Was OK with explanation but not as  very detailed as i preferred it to be. Thought they know what they are doing.

Project Day - Punctual and On-time

Work -  They were on time . We were quite happy initially but they were a little bit in a hurry .
The finish was incomplete (as professionals,they should know that both the side should have a proper finish to get a proper look) and until we pointed the mistake they dint care about it .He fixed it atlast for us but one complete set of pavers installed in 5 minutes.Then imagine the quality of the finish will be ?
Also 25-30% of the corners were not installed with "paver edging" . How can they not see this ?
We asked for Polymeric sand.He did put but not to our satisfactions as we noticed lot of gap unfilled and not set properly.

Rework: All the edge stones were coming out/loosened (due to lack of edgers/proper setting etc),so called them to rework. 
He came and fixed to certain level. Neither he was happy that i pointed him about the sand setting and few small things nor i was completely happy about their work. 
As a customer if i pay for a job,i want 100% satisfactions.He kept mentioning back about the money charged for the work.Not sure why ?
I did pay what he asked for and expected a perfect work. If any issue with price,then should have mentioned very early.

All over - Got the job done with cuts here and there. They are OK but I will not work with them again.

Jeff came over to provie an estimate, was very friendly, professional, and described in detail how he would complete the work and his recommendations. After getting several other estimates around town, it was a no-brainer as Jeff had offered a fair price, demonstrated his competency and seemed like an all around nice guy to work with. They were able to come out in just a few weeks - actually were able to come out earlier than anticipated. The whole crew was VERY hard-working, respectful, friendly worked efficiently and knew exactly what they needed to do to get the job done. We were so impressed with how quickly everything came together. They answered my husband's every question along the way. They completed the job ahead of schedule and everything looks great! We are thrilled with the work and were highly impressed by the team in general. I would recommend Outdoor Elegance to anyone, for any job, big or small!

Very prompt and very quick work done. Great workmanship. Designed patio extension so that the new part did not look like an "after the fact add on." Would definitely use them again.

They are very hard workers and did a beautiful job of laying the
pavers.  They also agreed to reconcrete spaces around my marble patio
stones and this is where the problems began.  They flooded the entire
patio and did not remove excess concrete, leaving dried concrete all
over the stone.  they came back to repair it but were only minimally
successful.  After finishing the paver sidewalk, piles of dirt, with
pieces of concrete and brick, remained in my front yard, to the extent
that I had to hire someone to come out and work for about 3 hours to
remove all the debris. They did excellent work as far as the brick porch, wall and sidewalk are concerned, but their cleanup was very poor.

I had about $10,000 work done by them over the last few years. I have have had 4-5 neighbors ask me who did the work. They are so easy to work with. The pavers have a little bit of color and they are different sizes and shapes. The side walk was a huge ares to do. My husband did not like the pattern and they came out to change it for free.
