All went well. Barry wasn't sure he could service my call on the day I contacted him, as he was backed up, but he did manage to make it around mid-day. He knew exactly what the problem was and went straight to work. It was a tight squeeze for him to get behind the refrigerator as our kitchen island was in the way, but he got the drain plug swapped out in no time regardless. The thawing out of the freezer took some time as the freezer practically had to be dismantled before he could access the coils in the back. He used a hair dryer and cups of hot water to melt the ice in the coils and in the drain hole. Once he did that, he vacuumed up the water and got rid of the ice. He was careful to make sure everything was free of ice and water before he put everything back together and turned the frig back on. He took the time to clean up the inside of the freezer where he had left fingerprints or dirt. Barry did a great job and I highly recommend him.
By the way, his name is Barry McCravy, not McCavry as this listing says.

It was a good experience. They were fast and they demonstrated what they were repairing for me. I didn't have any issues since the service.

I had received a quote from a big name appliance repair service fo over $650 to fix a microwave. It was built in, and we really liked the microwave, but that was almost as much as the unit cost. McCarvy repaired the microwave, and also our gas stove that had an ignition problem for less than $300. Honest service at a good price, can't beat that.

HE CAME ON TIME AND WAS ABLE TO COME OUT THE DAY AFTER I CALLED.

He showed up when he said he would. He was very professional and went to work immediately to figure out the problems and advised me of the cost of the new parts and the service charge as soon as he had finished referring to cost figures. He returned the next morn and replaced the old parts and gave them to me. I was very pleased with his work and will call him again

My dryer stopped working and I was going on a business trip in two days time. I called Mr. McCavry. I told him my problem over the phone and he came out that day with the parts in hand! He did the repair quickly and efficiently. And the price was very reasonable!

Several months ago we called Mr. McCavry because of a problem with our dryer and decided he would be first on our list to call anytime we needed help with an appliance.
This time it was our washer, which was not draining properly. I called Mr. McCravry on Sunday afternoon and he said he couldn't come until Monday morning, which was perfectly understandable. He called before coming on Monday morning and went straight to the laundry room, moved the machine into position and evaluated the problem. He found a bag closer tab stuck in the pump which he removed, put the machine back together and totally cleaned up after himself, all in less than an hour.
The washer is now working perfectly (and quietly).

Called Mr. McCravy on Saturday morning and he said he would come out Monday morning. Late Sunday morning he called and asked if he could come out and take a look at the dryer, I thought so he could assess if he needed to order parts. He came out twenty minutes later and thirty minutes after that my dryer was working great. It was a sock stuck in the dryer vent.
My only complaint is that I couldn't find a way to blame the stuck sock on my husband.

I called Gary early in the morning over my fridge not cooling any longer. He was able to work with my schedule and came out that morning. He had to order a part....all and all he had to come three times due to everything but he was great and quick. His price was reasonable as well. I would def recommend him to anybody!!!!!

I called him the day I found his name on Angies list. He was very curtious on the phone and was able to come fix my problem in just a few hours. Very polite and listend to how I described the problem I was having. He knew exactly what the problem was and had it fixed in no time. Apparently the vent on the outside of the house where it vented had gotten some residue on it which kept the vent slats from being able to open. So between that and a clump of lint that had somehow made its way to that point blocking almost all air from getting out it wasn't able to vent out the steam and therefore taking forever to dry my clothes. Thanks for saving the day! Would definately call on again!

I called him at 7:30 this morning...as I was starting to cook some of the things out of the freezer that I knew wouldn't make it in the cooler otherwise. He knew from my description over the phone what was wrong (no cold air with a clicking sound from the back), asked me to shut the refridgerator off, asked me what kind it was (8 year old Whirlpool side-by-side that has been through many power issues this year with all the storms), said he knew what it was and would be over as soon as he could get his kids to school and pick up the part (relay for the compressor). 2 hours after I called him (about 15 minutes to do the actual work), he was done and the fridge was working like a new one again...super friendly, cleaned up nicely and made sure it was back in place the way I wanted it before he left.
This was so much less expensive and convenient than having kept the warranty going on this thing (over $300 for 2 years) and then maybe waiting a week for the repairman to find time to come out in the county (from where I originally purchased this)...I would have this gentleman out again to fix pretty much any of my appliances.

We had a refrigerator go down late on a Friday. He could not get to us, that day but showed up on Saturday morning. After reviewing the issue, he suggested we not invest the money for repair. Repairs would have required taking it to the shop and spending a day or so on in it. Instead of taking our money to repair a bad design, he let the business go. We appreciated his honesty. His business is repair only, so he had no incentive to try and sell us new equipment.
