He came by in a very timely manner and turned the machine on to see what it would do because I couldn't remember exactly what was wrong after 2 years. It worked. He has surmised that somehow moisture might have been getting into the electronics and shorting it out and since it hadn't run it had dried out and is now working. Although he did charge a fee for the service call, he assured me that if it started doing that again, there would not be another service call charge. He was quite pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that he didn't just replace something and charge me for it!

Jay's Appliance was sent to my house by our warranty company and I couldn't have been happier. Another company had come out multiple times and the issue was still not fixed, so the warranty company reassigned the job to Jay's. He was polite, professional, and had the refrigerator running before he left. He even called back to check and make sure that it was cooling as it should. The woman who called to confirm the appointment was also very kind and professional on the phone. Very grateful for Jay!

They are local. They were prompt and right on time. They knew exactly what was going on with our problem and fixed it. It was inexpensive from what we were expecting. He said, no, let me just come out there. He came in and with the cost of gas it was $73 which was exceptional. I have already recommended him to one of my friends.

Jay called before he arrived to confirm it was a good time. He assessed the problem quickly, and had the parts available to replace the failed cube removal drive motor (I gave him the Kenmore model # the previous day). He repaired the icemaker so quickly that we didn't even have to remove the frozen goods from the freezer.

He is extremely knowledgeable and polite. He said it will be fixed this week no problem at all. He also worked with the Sears technicians so that they would approve the work done. He works very well to everyone's advantage.

This is the second time Jay has fixed my old washing machine (for totally different problems). This guy really knows what he is doing. Both times he showed up, listened to the washer for maybe less than an minute, and told me exactly what was wrong. By his explanation you could tell he really knew. Both times, his repair took only a few minutes (after he got the right replacement part). Perhaps as importantly, he charges very little for his services. Being retired, I know that every nickel out the door can be painful. But Jay has saved me at least several hundred dollars by keeping this old washer going. Jay, you have my sincere thanks! I HIGHLY recommend him. Polite guy. too.

We called Jay's Appliance to repair an error code displayed by our double oven
controller. He was not reliable about returning our phone call. He stated that he was very busy and could not get
back to us until the next week. He never returned our call after two weeks. After several calls and reminder that
read about him Angie's list, he finally called me back.
When he arrived, he spent a few minutes looking in the oven. After
he checked the owner's manual, he said that we needed a new controller board.
He then checked a couple of websites and said that the part was no longer
available and that we just needed to buy a new double oven. I stated that
that found that hard to believe because the oven was only about 12 years old.
I asked him for the part number. I also told him that she was calling
Kenmore to complain. He stated that we owned him $75.00. When he left, I
called Kenmore, and the people at Kenmore gave an alternate part number for the
controller If we had listened to Jay, the would be out a few thousand dollars
instead of a few hundred. We asked him for a refund of the $75.00, because we
no longer felt that we could trust his judgment or even depend on him to call
us back. We also feel that due to the
erroneous information and lack of time given to our problem that he should
return our money. We have now ordered the part and will have to hire someone to
fix the double oven. Since he is an appliance professional, he should be
providing us alternate sources for a defective part, not the other way around.
We also contacted the BBB.

Freezer kept making loud grinding noises and would stop cooling on a recurring basis. He came out and luckily no compressor or other big issues, just water backup from the line which ended spraying into the back and forming ice around the fan etc. He took it apart and repaired the water line leakage and got rid of any ice buildup.

I called Jay's Appliance when another local service failed to fix the
problem with my Electrolux dishwasher. Jay's Appliance arrived on time,
quickly diagnosed the first problem and found another. He took the
machine to his shop to search for the leak so that it would not harm my
kitchen floor. He phoned me just as he said he would and informed me
that he had to order another part. He explained the nature of the
additional problem and ordered the part. Unfortunately the part was
back-ordered but he phoned every Monday to let me know that he had
checked on the progress of the order. When the part arrived, he phoned.
He arrived on time, installed the machine, tested it thoroughly, and
once again explained the problem. I considered his price very fair. The
service and demonstrated knowledge were excellent. I would definitely
use Jay's Appliance again and highly recommend him

Contacted Jay on Monday and described the issues. He had already scheduled his day but advised he would make time to check the ref. and advised he could arrive in app 2 hours. He arrived at specified time and was able to diagnose and repair the ref in short order. His prices were competetive with local rates. Jay is very personable and professional. I would use him again and recommend to anyone.

Jay responded quickly, showed up early, was very knowledgeable (even helped me with basic troubleshooting over the phone BEFORE he came out), found the problem right away, made an adjustment and the refridgerator was fixed. I can't say enough about his promptness, knowledge and reasonable pricing (another outfit wanted $100 just to show up).
