HOLT'S PLUMBING

Has worked well. No leaks or problems.

On Nov 29 I called Mr.Holt and asked him to repair a water leak at my home.  He came out on Nov 30 and did a complete check of my system.  He spent a considerable amount of his time and gas and did not charge me because he could not identify the leak.  He looked up numbers for me for two leak detection services before he left.  On Dec 1 I had American Leak Detection find the leak.  Their $325 fee seemed high to me but I do not know the market for that type of work.  I called Mr. Holt back that afternoon and he agreed to come back on Dec. 3 to fix my leak.  I was surprised and pleased that he was willing to work on Saturday.  I do not know if that is his normal schedule but it was very helpful to me.  The leak was costing me about $4 per day.  On Dec 3 he got tied up on another job and arrived at my house around 4:00 PM.  This was not a problem for me but it caused him to have to work well past dark to complete my job.  He cleaned up all his scraps and gave me an itemized bill.  Again I do not know the market for the parts and supplies he used but it seemed a little high to me.  His labor charge was more than fair.  He will be my first call for any future work and I would recommend him to anyone.

Called previously for an estimate and they showed up as promised and gave estimate. After receiving 2 additional estimates, which were higher, I called them back and set the date for the job. Job was completed on time and I'm very satisfied with the services and the price.

In disconnecting the old clothes washer hoses from the box in the wall one of the connections broke sending water everywhere. We had to turn off the water to the house off in order to stop the flow. We called Holt and they got here within a very reasonable time that same day. They gave me an estimate of $350.00 to repair so I could once again turn my water on. They did the job in record time. I went to Lowe's the next day and found the part they replaced cost less than $25.00. Do the math, this plumber is charging $650.00 an hour for labor! (It took him less than half hour) They then tried to add a trip charge on top of that! I was dumb enough to not understand what the job entailed when I agreed to the charge.
