After pulling a new foster dog from the local animal control, we went to Dr. Lovell for a quick parasite check before we went home. Dr. Lovell and his staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I have since referred many friends to him and they too are very happy using him as the primary veterinarian for their family pets.

Very pleased. I have two more fat furry four legged flea bag food eating hair shedding poop in the front yard children of the canine type I won't hesitate to take here. The office was a little difficult to find due to Google showing it on the opposite side of the street. Additionally, some controlling force at the shopping center it is in will not allow signage for more than 4 businesses, his not being one of them. He is located directly next door to Publix. I went to him because my previous vet seemed to charge a fee for everything...like looking in the ears, stool sample, and God forbid he need inspect and quot; the dark sideand quot;. This vet checked it all and....even called me personally to relay the test results...which were fine. Essie is now on pand acirc;tand eacute; wet food, on a diet, and her behavior has drastically changed for the better. More beer for me!

We have five dogs and one cat, and all of them are like kids to us. All six pets have been to Eastside Animal Hospital for a variety of reasons since we moved to Athens last August (regular annual visits, surgery, senior care, chronic illness, temporary illness, and emergencies). Dr. Lovell is the best veterinarian I’ve ever taken my pets to. Every time I go to the clinic I come away feeling completely secure in the level of care my pets have received. Dr. Lovell is knowledgeable and thorough, always taking the time to answer questions. The staff is all very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Eastside Animal Hospital to anyone who wants the best quality of care for their pets, and I feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing doctor for my beloved dogs and cat.

We chose to go to Eastside Animal Hospital due to a general dissatisfaction with our previous Vet. Our thirteen year old cat, Cleopatra, had not eaten in three days. She was alert but obviously miserable. We got an appointment for mid morning on Monday and were greeted like old friends by Dr. Lovell, his staff, and the official greeter, and quot;Mr. Bigand quot;. Cleopatra (who is sweet at home but can be vicious anywhere else - and I have the scars to prove it) was quickly put at ease. Dr. Lovell suggested anesthetizing her for a more compleat examination and we agreed. Mid afternoon the doctor called and said that he had found a cracked molar with a nerve exposed and proposed surgery as soon as possible after receiving results of her blood work. He said he had given her a nerve block in her jaw so she could eat soft food. When we picked Cleo up we were given the estimate for the dental surgery, to which we agreed.
On Tuesday Dr. Lovell again called, told us Cleo's blood work was fine and the surgery was scheduled for Wednesday morning. (Although Dr. Lovell doesn't normally do surgery on Wednesdays he said he didn't want her to be in pain any longer than necessary).
Cleo had her surgery, she is now well and happy. The cost was a bit under under the original estimate. Dr. Lovell and his staff were kind, caring and everything one could want when looking to care for our animal companions.
I was impressed that Dr. Lovell himself called to detail his findings and recommendations for after care, and also that estimates were given at each step of the process so that there were no nasty surprises in the end.
We are VERY satisfied with our entire experience.

Excellent. My husband and I think Dr. Lovell and his employees are great.
