Terrible experience. The shop owner promised to replace the broken timing chains inside the engine of our 2009 GMC Acadia. Had our truck a total of seven months. When confronted about when the truck would be finished was told 'This is a hard one" multiple times 'My mechanic got drunk and took my truck and ran off' We had to pay for all parts upfront. He tore the engine down and left open to moisture (A/C system) for months and lost parts waiting for labor money to be paid to finish the job. When finally delivered to us under threat of him calling the sheriff on us if not paid in full. The power steering howled (air in system) (front end out of alignment) A/C not charged (we live in Alabama) (trim damaged on front clip) We drove 2 miles down the road from his shop and broke down. The truck had not been test drove. He refused to address any of the issues. He stated they were not part of the motor which was what he had serviced. Had to tow it to the GMC dealer where they informed us the engine would need tore down and re done had not been assembled correctly. Estimate by dealership for proper repairs to make right $1800 - $3500 You can not make this stuff up folks! It really happened to us and we are still living it!
