I phoned the store and talked to the store manager to explain the situation. He assured me that they would take care of it with no problem, and said he would have me give the information to one of his employees. When his employee came on the phone, she informed me that the chair was now out of warranty, and there was nothing they could do. Of course this made me very unhappy considering the supposed quality of chair we purchased, our past purchases we have made with the company, and most importantly of all, the fact that we obviously do not have the money to get this fixed given our present situation. When you pay around $800.00 for a recliner, one would not think that it would break down in just a little over a year. To add insult to injury we were not asked about purchasing an extended warranty, but was told by the salesman that if any problems arose, they would take care of it. Needless to say, I will no longer do business with this company, and will insure that none of my other family members on either side does business with them either. I am very disappointed as well as disgusted with this situation. It seems very unfair to me to say the very least.
