Bar-B Roofing

I called Bar B around the end of 2022 to get my roof replaced. They were quick to answer and quick to get an estimator out and gave me a quote that day, prices were reasonable and they offered many payment options. From the estimator coming out to the job done was about a week, the roof itself was torn off and replaced in a day. All in all happy with that part of the experience. But about two to three months ago I noticed some shingles coming up on the ridge vent, called to get someone out took about two weeks for someone to come out and had to call twice to get someone to come. Now I’m waiting again for someone to come out a second time to service the ridge vent, this time in the same place as the first repair you can see the plastic of the ridge vent pulled up and the nails exposed. Really frustrating to have to get someone out twice to repair a new roof. Was really happy with everything until these two issues came up. I will say though everyone has been nice and professional.

Project went very well! Bar-B provides professional/ high quality work with dedicated and experienced workers. Clean up after job completion was exceptional. Jason was the project manager and handled and oversaw the project the entire time. Couldn't ask for a more professionally and honest person. Highly recommend BAR-B for any roofing needs.

What's to say? I have called them out twice in two years, and both times had outright refusals to work. This time, they refused to even quote me to remedy a job where I was taken for about 16k and left with leaks, rot, and tons of mold (I have heart and lung probs. Now on CPAP due to the reactions ive been having from mold - before we knew it was mold). I had to go with one of their competitors the first time, who scammed me and took off. Now Im having to take it to court bc I have a lot of health issues and the problems they caused are negatively effecting it. Im also highly allergic to aspergillus, which is in some spots 20k in count (1500 and up is considered high). The roofers I paid were to remove all the bad wood, they did not, and with all the mold and rot under the shingles and with all the roof leaks it basically just took over the last year and some change, and with it everyone in the house got sick. I have to litigate and have dumped a boatload of money into quick fixes for the time and air scrubbers to buy me time for remedy and just asked the guy to give me a quote for my attorney so I can get my money back and actually act on said quote, but the owner here refuses to work with me this time BC I need this quote for litigation as well as to get my roof remedied (last time he said his insurance wouldnt let him touch it for less than 20k and maybe more like 25k, that the entire roof needed rebuilt). He came out to my house at 9 am just to refuse me. Isnt that nice? Im not a lefty at all, but I sure hope BLM and ANTIFA turn their animosity where it truly belongs, with such disreputable people as the ones who fill the construction & service industry in Anniston AL. I will never recommend them. Im not convinced this isnt indicative of the racist mentality of this area (happens on both sides, apparently there is a white and black side of town and being from out of state when I bought the house, I did not know this. Ive found out by construction outfits like this one - both sides give me **** for being here and most people that work this side trash talk black people and do nothing but scam in this region. Its gross.) Whatever happened to honest work? Since these people are so well off and seemingly can pick and choose their work based off seemingly stereotypes and skin types and how easy the job is vs how high their profits are for the ease of work, I cannot advise them and would tell you to source your business elsewhere. If you cant use local help and help the community, then get the best you can from out of area, but avoid these guys. Completely useless.

Bar B Roofing did an excellent job. Jeremy was professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Stayed in contact through process. Went above and beyond. The crew was excellent also. They started as scheduled early morning and finished by mid afternoon. I am overly pleased with my results. The house looks beautiful! ( bonito) Would highly recommend this company for any roofing needs. A+

Bar-B did a wonderful job on my roof replacement. My roof looks great. I am certain I received the best service available. The guys worked quickly and very diligently. They even cleaned the gutters!! I definitely recommend Bar-B to anyone looking for professional/high quality service.

Took off old shingles, replacing bad plywood covering, put on metal roof and end caps.  They came early and were finished by late afternoon.  Our roof was in really bad shape and they replaced nearly all the old roof plywood.  The owner is part of the crew and is great to work with.  They only took a couple of breaks all day.  We are very happy with the new roof!

I thought we had verbally agree to a price and ended up with a different price on paper!

Also cut a vent vent across the top, covered it with a screen, and capped the ends of the roof to make it look finished.  Very happy with the end result. Foreman brought six crew members.  They had the old roof off in no time and removed all old nails and repaired rotten places.  Really took their time and checked the roof closely.  They were here 8.5 hours and only took two short breaks.  Was very impressed by how well they worked together and knew their jobs.  They finished the job in one day.  Other quotes said it would take 2-3 days and really didn't want to take the old roof off.   Would highly recommend them for future roofing needs.  Owner is a young family man and is very eager to work.  Very polite, young crew.  They also put a tarp around the house to catch old shingles, nails, etc. and spent a lot of time at the end making sure they got up all the trash and nails from the yard.

The workers were very professional, well organized and arrived before the Bar B foreman.   They performed all of the work, were well organized, worked as an assembly line production team and cleaned up the area upon completion of the job.   Particularly, the cleaned up all the falling nails and debris.   The only sticking issue was at the rear of the house, the new plywood installed is super thick and the shingles still don't lie down properly.   The foreman indicated when the sun hits it it'll lie down, but it has yet to do so. Overall the new roof is a vast improvement over the previous near 30 year old roof.    Bar B was very gracious in accepting payment method for the job.    Thought the costs was high for the type shingles, but couldn't get any other roofer.  Overall the job was good.

His team showed up on time with a full crew and preformed the requested work very well. After starting the job we found that the decking on the roof had rotted and we negotiated a price which was very fair.
I will use BarB roofing for all of my roofing needs.

Very good.  They were professional, prompt, and the finished roof looks great.  It has been about a year since the installation and I haven't had any leakage issues.  I recommend the company to others.
