About us

Founded in 2001, Melton Automotive Inc., in Alabaster, Alabama, has full-time ASE-certified technicians with more than 75 years of combined experienced in 10,000 square feet facility. NAPA Autocare Center and our technicians complete at least five new product and technical training courses a year. Doug Melton, an ASE Master and Toyota-certified technician, opened Melton Automotive, Inc., as a one-man shop in 2001. Doug has worked for Hoover Toyota while attaining his Toyota T-TEN Degree from Bessemer State Technical College and has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, with five years’ experience as an engineer with BE&K Engineering in Birmingham, Alabama.

They have a very clean shop, a waiting area and a bathroom.  They are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and explain what other things need to be done, accompanied by print-outs that you can take home.

Professional clean automotive service center.  Explained problem very well and what needed to be done to correct the problem. Very reasonable cost and kept me informed of all issues to completion of repair.  Resolved in a timely manner.  Certainly will use them again in the future.

They do everything for my automobiles.  They have redone belts, replaced a water pump, and other tasks.  If I have a problem I take it back and they are great about resolving it.  They are just very good, honest people.

They're very reasonably priced, the owner is extremely knowledgable and is a mechanical engineer. They're a little far out of town but they're worth the trip.

The mechanic did a great job and they were very prompt at taking my car in. They did a professional job and they can do just about anything. It was very difficult work, so I felt the price was very reasonable. They looked at the car and told me the parts would cost three hundred dollars and the labor would run four hundred dollars, and they were right on the money.
