Tony came out to look at my bathroom and give me an estimate to run new ducts for the bathroom fans and install roof vents to properly vent them. He was right on time for the estimate and provided an estimate within a reasonable time. The best part was that his estimate was well below what other companies had provided. He came out to do the work on the date that we agreed on and was again right on time for the appointment. He did a great job installing the vents and did the work quickly. Tony was concerned that there may have been too much snow on the roof but was able to do the job after seeing how much there actually was. I was impressed that he was concerned enough about getting the job right that he was willing to delay doing it if necessary.

Did not go well with me. As the temperature outside was around 0 at night. We had to use our fireplace that did not heat the house adequitly.

We strive to take great care of our customers, after reviewing your invoices I understand your frustration. It does appear that your system was operating properly at the time our technician was completed. When he came back out two days later, we only charged you for the part needed (flame sensor). Once again your system was operational when our technician completed the job. We then came back out again approximately 2 weeks later and serviced your heating system, and once again it was operational when our technician left. I personally do my best to return all calls, emails, and faxes, and I do sincerely apologize if you called and did not get a return call. We hope to take care of your heating and water heater needs in the future. Once again thank you for the review, this helps us become better and grow."

The HVAC company I had used for many years went out of business, so I decided to try Northern Heating. I was a bit confused when they answered the phone as "Valley Mountain services", but they explained that the employees had taken over the business and were operating as Valley Mountain Services, but were still using the same technicians.
The cleaning and inspection of both furnaces went as expected. I told the technician that a CO detector at my house had gone off a month before, apparently a false alarm, but asked him specifically to check CO levels on each furnace. He measured 0 ppm in the duct of both furnaces and noted that on the receipts. Both furnaces have been running without problems since they were serviced (two months ago). The thoroughness of the cleaning and inspection seemed comparable to the company I had been using - and the bill was $30 less per furnace than I had been paying.

It was eight o’clock at night after a bad snowstorm. This poor guy was working fifteen or sixteen hour days forgetting that heat, and he was still willing to come out to my place just so I could get hot water. It certainly wasn’t an emergency, but he went above and beyond. No matter what time it is, they will come out and help me. They always fix the things they have come to fix, they don’t leave the job half done.

They seem to be very adept at their work. They are very polite and knowledgeable. Their pricing is reasonable. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.
