MTA WIRELESS

Description of Work: I used MTA-Long Distance in May to get my telephone and internet setup.

Description of Work: I have a North America calling plan which is supposed to cover off use in Canada and the United States. In reality my coverage is spotty. Provides reasonably reliable service in Alaska. There are, however, times within Alaska outside the MatSu base area that coverage/reception is a problem. This problem occurs in other urban areas such as Fairbanks. Outside of Alaska the coverage is spotty both in the lower 48 and urban areas of Canada such as Calgary/Edmonton. These coverage problems are not in rural or remote areas but typically in urban settings. I often get phone messages several days after the message is made by the caller. I have asked MTA representatives about this numerous times and have received a variety of answers. One common answer is that MTA is not large enough to negotiate the same access as larger providers. My recommendation is MTA is okay locally but not reliable outside of Alaska.
