We were very impressed with this business; the owner's wife answered my call and courteously and professionally arranged a relatively large job/cleaning within a week. The owner himself with his associate came out and performed the job, graciously adding on a full HVAC cleaning to the prescheduled air duct and dryer vent cleaning which extended his day quite a bit. He did a lot of education and they did a courtesy seal up as our air duct air intake had been drawing in air from a crawl space that had not been properly sealed. I don't think the air ducts had ever been cleaned in our recently purchased home (built in 1998) so everything was in significant need of cleaning, and we are so pleased we did this - the air was noticeably fresher, the ducts are no longer delivering fine dust (we were told quite a bit of remodel dust was still in the ducts from a 2012 remodel), and everything should be running more efficiently. Highly recommend investing in this particularly for any new home owners.

Anita was able to schedule me quickly and gave me a follow up email to confirm the appointment.  Additionally, she emailed me a reminder the day of the appointment.  Very professional scheduling.

Curtis and his assistant Kristy called when they were on their way for the appointment.  Both were polite and easy to discuss my vent issues with.

I have a very long run dryer vent ducting and have significant lint appearing outside even though there is lint in the dryer lint screen.  Curtis inspected the lint screen and ducting.  He cleaned the vent run and she taped the leaking vent ducts.

I appreciate dealing with professional business folks that care about their work performance AND return business.

Thanks Anita, Curtis and Kristy!

We had just moved into this house and wanted the HVAC system and dryer vent pipe cleaned.  The crew and equipment showed up at about 10 am and completed the work at 400 pm.  Our house consisted of gas forced air heating system with 16 supply registers and 7 return registers.  The house is four bedrooms, 2.5 baths and about 2,600 square feet in size.  The owner is Curtis and he was the lead of the two man crew.  The house got quite cool while this work was performed as the heat system is turned off.  The clothes dryer was on the second floor and the dryer vent pipe with all the elbows was equivalent to a 44 ft long duct.  This duct was completely plugged and then was unplugged by the cleaning.  A new high quality dryer hose was installed to replace the old hose that over time had become perforated from heat.  The vacuum truck makes a lot of noise and we disturbed some day sleepers on the neighborhood.  When the heat system was turned back on after cleaning, a noticeable improvement to air quality was noticed.  The house was built in 2001 and no duct cleaning had been performed until this cleaning.  An access panel was installed in the furnace return duct to allow cleaning of the furnace air fan and burner elements.  Curtis recommended a furnace repair part to have on hand - a hot surface igniter.

Great.  They showed up with the big loud truck and vacuumed all the heating and dryer vents.  It was touch going on the dryer because it apparently had never been done.  Feeling much safer now.

They were thorough, professional, expert, friendly, and informative. Their invoice total was about the same as what they estimated on the phone (based on questions about square footage, furnace type, bedrooms, year built, etc). I wasn't expecting it to cost that much but 3 guys working all day plus expensive equipment: it was a reasonable cost. Also, they gave me the Angie's List discount. Nice.

"Curtis" and his helper "John" did a very professional job and it all took about an hour from set up until finished!!  I was in doubts before they came due to the fact I'm unfamiliar with the roof routed vent pipe system and figured it'd be quite the chore, brushing from bottom on up, vacuuming, etc.  BUT not to worry------they ran a semi-ridged hose UP from the dryer's inlet all the way to the roof vent outlet and used 200 lb. PSI air to blast all the lint right out onto the roof, even got the wet stuck on lint blasted out too!!!  Curtis was very informative on all aspects of dryer vents and heat duct vents and answered all my questions.  I plan on getting them to do the recommended yearly cleaning as its worth the 168.00 and well worth NOT having to TRY and do this kind of work yourself and all the problems that could arise by doing so!!!!   Thanks Guys, a Job Well Done,  "Hub Atkins

I called them upon a referral from another local business. They immediately set up my appointment., and  they were able to get me scheduled quickly. (As I already had my furnace install scheduled with another contractor) The guys showed up on time and were very friendly and knowledgeable. They went straight to work and completed the cleaning of the air ducts in my home. The home we bought had a previous owner that smoked inside - even after painting and airing the home out a year later we would still get a whiff of a stale smoky smell that was terrible; after Alaska Power Vac came the smoky smell is gone completely! If I'd have known it was that easy I would've done it a year ago! Highly recommend, worth every penny!

Timely and professional, in addition to answering any questions I had.  They put everything back in its proper place, except taking out the dirt that was behind my dryer!  Thanks Curtis & Steven.

Curtis and Steven did an excellent job of cleaning the force-air system in a 20-year-old house that we just bought.  Both men were personable and quick to answer any questions I had.  They took their time to do an excellent job, and showed me before and after photos of cleaning the heating system blower assembly.  Curtis explained to me how the heating system worked, and how to take care of it.  It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.  When I called to arrange for service, I was given a choice of times within three days; they were very willing to work with me for my convenience.  It's so great to know that there are excellent providers out there who are willing to do meticulous work.

We had just replaced an old furnace with a newer more efficient one.We had not had the ducts cleaned for several years and there was a substantial (and understandable) accumulation of dust in them. Since the furnace was then used for several days without our getting someone to clean the ducts, the new (and expensive) filter was made useless by the substantial amount of detritus blown into it by this more efficient and stronger furnace.
Alaska Power Vac spent about 6 hours cleaning the ducts.
This made us realized that the 45 minutes or so that had been expended by the previous cleaner could not have been enough to do a good job. It was clear that APV was doing a thorough job, explaining what was being done as they went along, and explaining just how the furnace and air flow acted and why they used only air instead of implements to clean out the ducts. (By the way they found toys and other things that had not been found and removed by the previous cleaners, remnants from the previous tenants of the house).
The owner of APV returned the next day, at my request, to clarify something and assist me with some minor matter that I was unclear about. Moreover he called the next day to ensure everything was fine and his wife called during the following week to determine if the service had been as we desired.
We have had occasion to call a number of people over the last 18 years to service different matters connected with this house, while nearly all were adequate and some more than just adequate, APV stands out in a category all its own in terms of competence and cheerful willingness to go the extra mile. I would unhesitatingly recommend them. May they long prosper.

Excellent.  Curtis takes his time to educate you on the many facets of the job.  You can rest assured that your ductwork will be as clean as they can be when he leaves.
