The door we wanted was not in stock, so we had to wait for it to come up on the barge.  However, it missed it.  So we had to wait an extra week.  It took the installer about 2 hours from start to finish.  We are very pleased with the new door and would not hesitate to recommend Pioneer Door.

Very professional and honest. They are a long time local business who conduct themselves with integrity. When doing my energy audit and asking for referrals from long time Alaskans or other highly rated businesses in the field , Pioneer Door came up 100% of the time.

Over the course of about 10 days, multiple people work on the project. However the young men that were hired for this particular project were considerably rude in leaving their cigarette butts on the floor. For non-smoking residence and farm, that is particularly disgusting and foul. Minor details but important details were omitted. The locks on the doors installed too tightly so they could not be easily open and close with the regular human hand. (This is still a problem on the 16 x 9 .) No ropes tied onto the doors to be able to close them. (it's okay control you need to find a ladder so you can go close the door ). The springs and the doors are so heavily set, they do not close all the way. We've been informed that once the automatic door opener and closers are installed that then they will work just fine. Meanwhile were still losing heat due to the gaps and both the top and the bottom, particularly on the 16 x 9 door. We were billed half in advance and then told that the other half would be due after installation. We called in and someone took a credit card over the phone but did not follow through and charger credit card. We were sent a bill six weeks later requesting payment due along with the late fee for their error. Calling them they promptly removed the late fee and then billed the final amount due but I was quite dismayed about how even the billing was handled. We have since called the Anchorage store to file a complaint which was promptly ignored. 'Dave' came out at the end of November and said that he'd send someone back out into weeks. It's now the end of February almost March. We have yet to hear back from them. Given issues needing a fourth dog door installed, (8x8) we opted to use someone else. One final an interesting note... Driving into the city of Wasilla last summer, a pioneer door truck proceeded to rally it's away amongst cars cutting them off to get into town faster on a Friday evening. It was just a few minutes past 5 o'clock. You can only imagine my dismay to see him parked at the liquor store on Bogard/ Selden about 30 minutes later, while passing on my way home. Hardly surprising given the disregard for people's property.

The young technician was a total professional and very likeable. He made numerous extra adjustments and went the extra mile in doing a fantastic job. My wife and I also called the boss at Pioneer Door to tell them what a great employee they had and how pleased we were with the work performed.

the men were new their work very well and very helpful to and came the day that they said they would be there at the time we agreed on. They were neat and cleaned up the mess after the job was over.

Called on Friday, spoke to receptionist. Said she'd try to get someone out on Saturday. Called me back and scheduled for Monday. I asked them to call my wife before going. About 4:30 PM on Monday my wife called and said no one had called her. Called the business and spoke to Darrell. Darrell explained that based on what I described, we needed springs replaced for the door, but based on the size of the door, they would have to make a custom spring. He recommended replacing both, which I agreed to. Darrell said they'd be out in a few days with the springs and they would call my wife with an estimate. They called the next day and provided the estimate for both springs and came out to install. The total bill was less than the quote. Garage door works well now. Despite the initial communication failure, I rated them as "Good" for punctuality since they made it out the next day to repair. These folks came well recommended from neighbors and co-workers, and got the job done at a reasonable rate. I would definitely use them again if needed.

After arriving 1 1/2 hrs after our appt. due to an emergency, the young man sent to remove our old garage door and install the new door more than made up for the delay. He was pleasant and hard working and definitely knew what he was doing. Any questions my husband had were answered thoroughly and clearly. We should not need another garage door with this home, but should we move and want to replace our garage door in a new home, Pioneer Door will get our business!!

I had tried to keep my business with the local guy "Brink Garage Doors", he was unprofessional and the quality was poor, he never fixed the problem he created. Pioneer Door in anchorage was great in every aspect. Highly recommended.

I was less satisfied. They were pretty good on responsiveness. I am just a little bit disappointed in a gap in the floor, and they just didn't fix it but claimed that it was under warranty and they would take care of it and stuff like that. I think they left the job a little bit undone. I will only use them for the warranty work, otherwise I will use another service provider.

They were good. Everything they have done to this point has been satisfactory. They still have to finish up a few things once we get electricity.
