ADAMS' FAMILY PAINTING

We enjoyed outstanding service from Adam's Family Painting. We met Ron Adams at the Anchorage home show, where he explained his company's history, quality, and services. We set an appointment for an estimate, to which Ron arrived exactly on time and performed his measuring for the estimate. The next day we received a price quote via email. The price was not cheap, but we decided to accept based on our perceived quality of his services and the higher quality paints he uses (Rodda & Sherwin Williams).  
We set a date for early spring and a week prior Ron called to discuss the prep and painting schedule, which was subject to weather conditions. The date came and the prep crew came out to wash the house, scrape loose paint and cover the windows and fixtures. It was a large crew, so they completed the work quickly. The next day was painting, which proceeded quickly. They painted the body the first day, and then returned over the next two days to paint all of the trim, and to do final touch-ups. A key difference with Adams is that they  spray on the paint and then go over the sprayed paint with a paint roller - for the entire house. This process ensures that the paint gets into all of the cracks and grooves in the wood siding.  Doing so also ensures even coverage, so there are no bare spots.  I came home from work several times to inspect the painting progress, and every time the Adam's employees stopped their work to greet me, explain what they were doing now and what they'd be doing next. Their demeanor was polite and very professional.  
I want to point out that two of my neighbors had their houses painted recently for a considerably lower price. However, both of those jobs were spray only, and I can already see where the paint went on too thin, where they missed spots, where they did not get the paint into the grooves, or where the paint rained down in drips. 
The finished product was an expertly-painted house, where the paint application was thick, well-spread, and flawless. Ron Adams came out for one last Quality check and we walked around the house together to see if there were any defects. We found one minor one, while Ron pointed out several very minor ones that he noticed. His painter returned that day and corrected all of the defects. 
Overall, this was an excellent experience. One year later the house looks like it was just painted, and the paint coating is still flawless.
