Rocky's Heating Service

The rate for the tune-up was $422, and I had a coupon for $25 off. The tune-up was supposed to take 1.5 hours. Instead, it took 2.5 hours, with no listed issues. So they charged me an extra $162 for that hour. When I asked about it, the guy said that he usually works slower. I asked, "So, if I get a faster guy by luck of the draw, I get to pay less?" He said yes. A service should be a service. Flat rate, not based on how fast the guy goes.

Everything went well. Rocky's was responsive to questions and rescheduled the installation to accommodate our travel plans. They provided a bid using a high-efficiency furnace, as requested. The work was completed in a single day, rather than the two days that were planned. The work was tidy and professional and the furnace appears to be working well.

really nice people until you have a problem and then you're on your own. There is a reason why their price is low. I would rather pay more for better service. Use at your own risk

This was my first time using Rocky's Heating Service. Their technician arrived on time as scheduled to perform my requested services. He was onsite at my home for approximately 3 hours, working continuously until all tasks were completed. He consulted with me several times as he identified issues needing attention, which I appreciated. Since it was his first time servicing my heating equipment, when he was finished, he discussed several recommendations he had for improving the efficiency of the boiler's operation as well as improving domestic hot water heating. He left me with a packet of informational flyers and booklets pertaining to boilers and products I might consider upgrading to in the future. All in all, I had a highly favorable impression of him and thought he provided the most thorough boiler servicing I have had in years. The office staff I spoke with in scheduling this servicing appointment were very friendly, helpful and professional. They called to remind me of the appointment a day in advance.

Rocky's Heating Service was punctual and very detailed oriented. Their technicians kept me very informed throughout the process and armed me with knowledge to share with others. The technicians were very respectful of my home and took necessary precautions to keep my house clean during and after their work. Though the prices may be slightly higher than their competitors. The quality of work received and the promise to fix any issues that may arise due to their work is well worth it. I would definitely recommend Rocky's to a friend.

It went super. Quick response to early morning phone message - told them it wasn't an emergency. Though they didn't have enough valves on the service truck they were able to get two more delivered from their warehouse. Received a followup call the next day to ensure I was satisfied with the service and performance of my system.
I always use Rocky's. They may be higher priced than some furnance services, but I know they'll always be there for me and will stand behind their work.

They were very professional and honest group of people to work with.
Rocky's came out and gave us an estimate. Was very open on what we needed to have done and what we did not need. Came out to install furnace when they said they would and did a great job making sure we had heat the first night even though it was a two day job to install it.

They come once a year and do a tune up. They are good. There are two guys in my basement giving my furnace a tune up. We are in Alaska and we depend a lot on our heating system. The owner Rocky trains his people for a long time so he just doesn't hire people. His staff is probably the best trained in town. They stand behind their work and they do really good work.

Rocky's did the work when they said they would. Work was done well.

They have done an excellent job and other than that no other contractors. My company actually had been through a weatherization program here in Fairbanks. We were given a new boiler and water heater. They started the process in late November; they put in one building and then did one in December and one in January. It was free of cost as my company was contracted through weatherization program and we had to pay a subsequent service call. I have had some issues with thermostats weren't working correctly and needed to be replaced, the zone valve and that kind of things that I had to pay for but initial installation of boilers and hot water heaters were through the weatherization program. I have had five contractors come out and bid on the price, and they won hands down out of the five contractors. Most definitely I would use them in the future.

Rocky Heating Service has been pretty good. They clean up after themselves. They are here when they say they are going to be here.

Overall the experience was painless..It was our first place, did not know who to call and we are so took someones elses advice and gave them a try..We are so very please, and grateful that we did and recommend them to everyone who needs help in this type of area..
