Planet Fitness - Fairbanks

I didn't really like the atmosphere. There are a lot of body-builder types and gym rats present. Not particularly friendly or casual atmosphere. Lots of machines, but no group fitness classes. It was definitely cheap, but a pain to cancel my membership - you can only do this in person.

My experience with them has been good. It is clean. They sometimes take a little while to do repairs, but that is just at the initial start-up.

The facilities are nice and clean. They are really good business professionals and they know how to deal with people. It is inexpensive. I will go here again.

I joined for a year for their classes. The customer service and equipment were good. They were still charging money and taking it from my bank account after the completion of my membership. They should have been straight up with me. I would not go back there again.

I hear that they do get busy but when I go there it's not really busy. They usually have a lot of machines there and it is nice. The membership includes tanning, so I don't have to pay extra $40 a month for it. The buddy membership is really nice as I can bring a friend whenever I want and unlike other local clubs, I don't have to pay an extra $15 every time they come. The price is very nice and that's one of the reason that I've gone to them. Their bathrooms are not clean every now and then but they generally do a good job of keeping it clean. They are very helpful and very friendly. They are on the downside of being professional as most of the people who are working in there have changed. I would use them again in the future.

I like that they were cheap. They were reasonable, but not a lot of amenities. They were open for a lot of hours. The staff was just there, they were intrusive. They were there when I needed them, and they were hovering. The communication aspect was not good, that is why I dropped my membership. My credit card changed because it expired and it was new year, so the credit card stayed the same but they went from 2011 to 2013, and they ran my credit card and of course it didn't work. I called them and asked to change the dates, but they re ran my credit card in the same month and charged me a late fee. I told them they got paid in the month that it was due, and it was their fault. I asked them to take my late fee off or else I cancel the membership, but they couldn't do it, so I cancelled the membership and me and my family left.

.They do a very good job with what they do, my only complaint would be that they do not have more programs available for more reasonable prices.
