We have a terminally ill dog. We have been going to Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital since the late 1970's. We have owned several dogs and cats and we would go nowhere else. We see Dr. DeLeon and admire her greatly. Her knowledge, the time she takes with her clients, her compassion, and her handling of the animals.

They're not cheap but worth it. They're very caring, very professional and warm with the animals. They're consistent and your pet matters. I've been going to them for years.

One morning our male German Shepherd awoke with an inflamed eye. Mt. McKinley's staff gave us an appointment that afternoon. Dr. Scott Flamme thoroughly examined the dog, and immediately diagnosed the problem. He explained the problem to me in detail and that the condition would in all likelihood be reoccurring. He advised me on how to treat future recurrences. Dr. Flamme prescribed appropriate medication and instructed me in its application.
Our dog is large, and easily frightened. Dr. Flamme was gentle and patient with him and took care not to make him uneasy. Our dog's eye healed as expected.
We appreciated Mt. McKinley giving us an appointment so quickly. We also appreciate the kind and gentle treatment all the staff extends to our dog. We have taken our pets to Mt. McKinley for many years and highly recommend them.

As always, the care and procedures were super. Dr. Flamme truly cares about my dogs, and understands their personalities. Made a special point to allow me to pick up one early to avoid her becoming upset being confined. Both of the dogs are over 12 and are healthy and happy due his care. They haven't ever been to another vet clinic. The clinic is in a new purpose built facility. Drs Flamme, Bacon, and DeLeon have always been great. When one isn't available I can rely on the others. Dr DeLeon maintains a quality staff - both vets, technicians and customer reps.

I brought in my cockatiel Kiwi about 2 months ago when she started looking lethargic and unresponsive. He quickly diagnosed her with gout and performed necessary procedures, we developed a personalized treatment plan that was agreeable to both myself, my husband, and Dr. Nevill (I'm not sure how Kiwi felt about it). I had to bring her in a dozen times that first week for fluids due to her acute kidney failure. After that first week, he took blood and checked her levels again, to find they were improving little by little. We continued fluids for a couple more weeks, medications at home for a month, and today she is a happy healthy (somewhat) little bird loud and annoying as ever, who has at least a few more months to live thanks to Dr. Nevill who saved her life. And his staff were friendly, professional, and were able to easily handle the bird with no problems. Kiwi probably hates them all. However, we are grateful for their help, and even though we know she has a chronic illness, he was able to buy her some more time, and that was priceless. I only hope that we can find someone even remotely like him when we move.

They take excellent care of the pets. I am fine with their price because of the job they do. They are responsive and punctual. I don't wait long when I go in. They are very professional. They have gone above and beyond in emergencies. I would absolutely continue to use them in the future.

They were amazing. They called me during the middle of her surgery and told me what they found. I told them to go ahead and put her to sleep. They had state of the art equipment. They did everything that they could. I do not like the owner. I needed to give my dog the best chance I could and that was by taking her there.

I had brought a friend with me to ensure I didn't forget to mention anything about symptoms etc. The vet made a point of almost ignoring me the entire time and spoke to my friend instead. Instead of calming my then 5 month old puppy down before taking the skin scrapings for the lab, the vet abruptly grabbed her by the scruff, starting holding her down and took the sample. When my pup yelped and started crying out at the abuse, the vet looked at me and asked what was wrong with my dog.
After taking my friend back into the lab to look at the sample under the micro scope, my puppy was so traumatized she was shaking. I got her calmed down just before the vet came back. At this point the vet went over how to give the medical treatment for mange. Injections 2 times a week, a bath with medicated shampoo 3 times a week and a couple of other medications. To show me how to give the shot, he again grabbed my puppy by the scruff of the neck, took her down onto the floor from the table, held her there and gave her the shot.
Once the medication was finished her mange came back even worse. When I called the vets office and explained what was going on I was told that I had entirely made up my experience and that the process I had been given for the medication (injections) was not something they would have ever told me to do. When I asked where I would have gotten the syringes and needles from if not them, the question was deflected.
Although I recognize that a rough bedside manner can be to some point excused, but this went beyond necessary. And, all but calling me a liar did not endear the staff or hospital to me.
