KITCHENS & BATHS BY DESIGN

I want to sound credible, so I'll try not to be too effusive. We wanted to finally redo the kitchen of the house we had built in 1983, but I didn't want to accept just anything like I did in 1983. Our kitchen was never truly functional and our needs had changed since the '80's, therefore I wanted to get it right. I was born minus the design/art gene so I found help in an amazing designer. Carolyn has all the credentials and education of a professional designer, being a Certified Design Consultant. We are fortunate to have her in Fairbanks. She is artistic, organized, honest, detail oriented, sensitive, thorough and fair. You know every step of the process, what will happen when and what it will cost. She can recommend a contractor but is willing to work with your chosen contractor. We thought the most fun part of designing a new kitchen is the questionaire Carolyn spends time going over with you. It really makes you think of what you want and it's truly in depth. She asked me what I hated about my kitchen and I quickly said I didn't like where I had to put my trash can and that I (at 5'1") had to walk to a pantry to get a step stool every time I needed to get into a high cabinet. Both of things were priorities in her design. She had suggestions for lots of things I never even thought about as well. Ms. Foelsch is attentive to the financial abilities of her clients. Don't think that just because you may be on a limited budget that you can't have a well designed kitchen or bath. Carolyn will work with you to get you the best you can afford and it will be functional. Think of all the apartments you've lived in.
