Stated it would take 2 weeks and $4,000. to replace the engine. Billed me for $6,400 a month later. This included the MAIN but for some reason NOT the secondary fuel level sending unit. The engine works fine, BUT the secondary sending unit still puts on my check engine light when it's more than a quarter tank low. Charged me over $600 to NOT fix the problem I was having.
THEN the fuel pump goes out. they charged me $878 for that, INCLUDING DRAINING OUT MY FUEL (which was a FULL TANK and they only put 5 gallons back in) claiming there was Rust and Rocks in the tank, then replaced the fuel pump and NEVER BOTHERED TO FIND OUT HOW THAT CRAP got into my tank in the first place.
I had to prod them for typical causes, for which they stated and quot;they usually rust at the fuel neckand quot; and I asked and quot;well did you CHECK it???and quot; no... and quot;are you going to??and quot; no.... so I had to go buy the parts and do the labor myself, MEANWHILE there was a 3 inch long HOLE rusted AT THE TOP of the Fuel Neck that was every time I filled up with Gas letting MORE RUST AND ROCKS drop down into my brand new Fuel Pump and freshly cleaned out gas tank!!!!!!!
SO they didn't care enough to find the root of the problem, meaning I was going to eventually end up with the same problem and spend another $900 not long down the road. POOR service. POOR salesmanship. from a PARTS REPLACER... not even a real mechanic... a REAL mechanic would have found out WHY your problem was occurring and told you and offered to fix it.
heck, they would have made more money THAT way if they had done their job instead of just left me to have problems again
and they still have NOT done anything to fix the Check Engine light issue I was having with the Fuel Sending Unit after they charged me over $600 and said the problem was fixed.
I think they should have to give me my money back

I do this to have the appropriate services for this car recorded by a representative of the manufacturer. I think they do OK for a business that is not set up for the customer and the person doing the work to communicate directly. I will continue to use Kendall for the routine service.

took vehicle in on a recall matter. we had an arranged appointment. when we took it is Kendal could not find the parts to correct the problem another appointment was made for Jan 13th. when leaving, the tech had taken vehicle out of 4 wheel drive and my girlfriend hit some icy patches. but worse, the hood was not latched and at 55 mph, she had to pull over on Richardson hw to close the hood. the hood was starting to come up at 55 mph.

From the time I filled out the loan application to finalizing sales only took a couple of hours. I started with filling out the loan papers online. Within a few minutes I received a call from Mike Persinger a sales consultant to set up a time for a test drive. Mike was awesome. When I arrived the loan application was already approved. Mike walked me through everything about the car and I took my test drive. When I came back I filled out the paperwork and was on my way. It was a great experience.

We took the vehicle is because the warning light went on. Then is went off but the car was acting strange. They provided a fast courtesy shuttle and were able to pick me up from work when finished. They have to order a part and said they would provide a rental for when we have to bring it in for the replacement. Insurance is covering everything and they are very willing to work with us.

I had questions regarding several problems and drove into the auto shop. Shop service sales person told me it would cost $125 for a technician to diagnose and tell me if or what something was wrong. Then the cost of repairs would be added. The prices quoted did not fit my budget. Kendall has a huge property in Fairbanks, very clean and professional looking, which comes with a price to keep up that appearance. I prefer to go to a smaller shop which may not be as clean, but which may be just as reliable.

I worked with Stimena, and although I had a good idea of what I wanted to buy, she was good at directing me towards vehicles I would like rather than what she wanted to sell. She was very friendly and pleasant to work with, and she made spending thousands of dollars actually more enjoyable than it actually is. I would buy my next vehicle here.

As soon as I phoned the service department I was speaking with a live person, which doesn't happen often when calling most businesses these days. I was able to schedule an appointment right away and it didn't take forever and a month, the time they scheduled was convenient for me and the person scheduling was so prompt and upbeat, everything was handled so fast, I felt satisfied immediately.
When I brought my car in, as always, someone was with me before I was able to get completely out of the car, they had someone there to take my keys, greet me with a great attitude, and apply protective covering right away. They walked me to the waiting room and checked on me a few times, by the time my car was ready, I was asked by at least 3 people if I needed anything, and the wait time was very short. What I liked the most was I didn't have to ask any questions, they had everything in their hand and addressed my prior questions about my car and also gave me a complete run down of battery, lights, tires, etc. all the while walking with me to my car and handing me the keys. I was in and out and felt completely satisfied with the customer service and the quality of service for my car. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and will keep returning to Kendall Auto... True Fairbanks friendliness and service.

We are Subaru owners. We went to Kendall Auto in search of Subaru wiper blades, and also to get extra screws for our license plates as we came from a state with only one plate. The people we spoke to were all very friendly, however it took a lot longer than it should have to get what we needed. For those few things we were on the property for about 45 minutes, and had to go to two other areas before finally landing at the third, and correct, area. We waited in the Service Dept for about 20 minutes. There was only one person at the counter and it took a long time. The price was very high. Two front blades and a back blade cost $70. That is a little outrageous. However, the person who helped us purchase those items not only guided us to the correct ones but also installed them, as well as our plates. This was very kind of him, and we appreciated the help. I'm sure the gentleman waiting in line behind us did not, however.
We will be back as it is one of the few places in the area to carry Subaru wiper blades.

I was very impressed with the salesman who assisted us! He was not pushy at all, and allowed us to test drive the mustang we wanted. Although we didn't end up buying one, it was not due to the company. They were very professional and easy going.

Overall, very pleased. Normally I avoid dealer service departments because the labor and parts rates are often much higher. However, for the work I needed, the rate was competitive with a local repair shop. The service agent did a great job of keeping me informed, though the overall process took almost two weeks to complete (due to their backlog, part availability, weekends, and actually performing the work). There were no surprises on the final bill and so far I have no concerns regarding the quality of work. I will use them in the future, though I'll make an appointment if at all possible.
PROs:
-Good communication (updates) from service staff.
-Final bill was as quoted for estimate.
-Prices were very competitive for being a dealership.
CONs:
-Service department was fairly busy; took them a few days to diagnose the issue.
-Overall service--after diagnosis--took about a week, but half of that was a parts delay (which is understandable given the situation).
-No loaner vehicles.

I used to be a loyal customer of Auto Service Company (now Kendall Auto). I will never, ever set foot in Kendall again! I brought my vehicle in for service to fix the driver side widow. Vehicle came out fixed, but the heated seats were not working now where there were when the rig went in. Back into the shop it went for the seats and came out with seats fixed but now with a rattle in the front right engine block. Oh wait, I forgot to say this was all warranty work.
After I questioned Dave and quot;on his new revenue stream... creating warranty workand quot;, everything suddenly was fixed - and I've since got rid of the rig. As I said, the only thing that was wrong with it was the driver side window-and this was all warranty work!

I brought our truck in because it was -40 degrees below zero and our power steering pump went out on us. Long story short, instead of just replacing the pump, fairly expensive, they did an overall check and found that it was blown lines. So they replaced them at a very reasonable price. We only had to leave our truck in their shop for about 3 hours. Very professional folks that work there as well.. A great place. We will always call them when we need help with our Toyota Tundra.
