Their claims person inspected my car at the dealership. In the adjuster's view, the damage could be repaired using the existing door skin. The dealer didn't think so and wanted to replace the door. The claims adjuster didn't call me to let me know. I only found out when I called the dealer the following afternoon. The delay caused the door skin to be order the day before I was scheduled to return to Fairbanks. In round numbers, State Farm covered $1,208.50 whereas the cost was $1,841.06. I also had to make two trips to Anchorage to have the work done.
Suffice that I'm less than pleased with State Farm's claims people.
