I called three months ago to have an expansion tank and zone switches replaced on my boiler. They did not bring out any parts in order to repair. So they come out a second time to do the job. Was it fixed? No, zone switch failed and they left the water off for the basement. Third time they came out they admitted the expansion tank was bad, finally, replaced it, added some glycol to further run up the bill. And now again we are without heat. No problems with furnace for 6+ years until GPS came out and since it has been nothing but problems. Stupidly tried a fourth time to get them to come fix it, but the receptionist was rude and not wanting business. So, I give up. Do not give these folks your business, you will be sorry. Go somewhere else.

I called GPS and they came out that day. The service was professional and fast, in spite of not having the right diameter check valve in the truck.
I was completely satisfied and grateful for their excellent response and service.

The finished product is okay - valves aren't leaking and hardware is on. The biggest issue is that they were scheduled to do the work a month earlier and various emergencies and other reasons popped up to keep them from doing the work. The plumber was good, polite, and helpful with questions that I had. The business itself is what lacked professionalism - chasing the higher dollar jobs and pushing my job back.

The plumbers were great, got right to work, knew what they were doing and fixed all problems. But, did not show up in AM as promised and no phone call saying they would be late. That really bugs me, as this is a common problem in Alaska (after living her 54 years I can say this.) Outside, tradesmen are much more attuned to customer service.

The service rep was on time, and immediately got to work. He briefed me on what he was doing and showed me what he had done after he was finished.

We had 2 frozen pipes on a very cold day (40 below). Stack sent a plumber out within a couple of hours. It took him 4 hours to find the frozen pipes and thaw them out. All went well and the price was less than expected.

It took several calls before they came out and fixed a frozen pipe. In the interim we ran out of water and had to lug water. They made multiple promises of when they would be here but did not show up. They did offer to send someone after hours at overtime rate fees. I do believe I am done using this company.

They come out on the day and time as promised, charged what they quoted on the phone. The only issues are:
a. I never received the DVD with the suggested repairs. I have called and asked for it with no DVD 6 weeks later. Now that we have snow on the ground and below freezing weather the repairs will have to wait until spring thaw.
I have an issue with a vent stack and was told that the crew coming out could look at it and fix. But the 2 guys that came out said they were only video technicians and not plumbers. I was told to call the office and ask for a plumber to come out, for an added fee of course.
So not sure i will recommend them to anyone at this point. I will try calling, once again, to try to get the promised DVD and list of suggested repairs, but frankly at this point I am not confident that another 6 weeks will not go by.

Our kitchen ceiling sprung a leak on a Thursday night. It was so bad we had to turn off the water to the whole house, leaving us with a 3 year old and a newborn, and no water. The problem wasn't worth an and quot;emergencyand quot; after-hours service call, but we needed it fixed ASAP. My husband called Stack at 7:30 Friday morning and they were at our house in North Pole by 8:30.
It took them about 5 minutes to find the problem (a nail hole in a supply pipe) and another 15 to fix it. I was home by myself and know nothing about plumbing, so they easily could have dragged the job out to charge more in labor, but they worked fast and I wound up paying a lot less than I expected when it started raining in our kitchen the night before.
They were very friendly and professional and I would absolutely call them again.

I called and spoke to Kendall on Thursday and she offered to send a plumber over on Friday to inspect the problem. We arranged to meet the plumber on Monday morning. They arrived early Monday morning and after inspecting the area needed for repair immediately went to get the parts. They returned and replaced the 3" pipe and flange as well as installed the new toilet we had purchased. They double checked the work as well as tested for leaks before asking me to come up and inspect with them. The Stack Company is very professional and organized. I will definitely use them again. Overall A ++

Sewer freeze-ups are never any fun. We had issues because my "cleanout" pipe was too far from the street for the steam truck hose to reach, so Charlie had to run water from my laundry lines down the line, which takes more time. He was there for almost 4 hours! I felt bad because it was a Friday night and he was there until after 10pm. But he had a good attitude the whole time, worked very hard and got the line cleared. The only reason I didn't give an "A" grade on the price is that it was all done on the overtime rate (ouch!), and on the punctuality is because I was told by the receptionist that the workers would be at my house by early to mid afternoon, but they had the job before mine run long, and they didn't arrive until just before 5pm, which was the reason it was all overtime. But otherwise, I was satisfied and would recommend Stack Company/Glacier Point wholeheartedly.

We had a mess too. We had an arsenic build up in the bins and pipes. Diesel and propane make this build up. When they were working in the older pipes a solid piece of arsenic fell out and made everyone run everywhere. They sealed off the vents so that it wouldn't get to us. When the dust settled they wore their ventilators to clean up the mess. They said that this was the most dangerous way to heat. They said that wood and coal don't leave things this toxic behind. They were great and very reasonably priced.

Our water was frozen in basement wall leaving us without water throughout the house . We called Stack Heating and Company and they had a technician to us within an hour and a half. He diagnosed the problem and determined it was not in the feeder lines from the city water lines and it was not in the relief valve. He had to cut the drywall to expose the water line and apply direct heat on the pipe. We got our water back very quickly after that. He did it neatly, making a hole only as large as necessary to fix the problem and cleaning up the mess afterword. Jesse was very professional and an experienced technician. He listen to our problems carefully and ensured that we we taken care of. We will be using this company again and asking for Jesse to do any work that we need to have done.
